Seems most of everything is already sold out (grandstands, parking, campsites). Only one grandstand left on the start-finish straight, right across the pit exit. I would have thought that would be one in great demand. Does anyone know if there's something wrong with this grandstand? It's called T14 Barnato. The other one still available is Maison Blanche, but it's further away from the main area (paddocks, start-finish straight).
Also, there used to be a campsite right across the street from the main entrance. It is not mentioned on the LMC website anymore, not even as 'sold out'. I used it last time as a (fairly cheap) alternative for a parking space close by.
Last time we noticed there were free parking lots as well, but further away. Obviously one can´t make reservations for these, so anyone with experience using these free parking lots?

I asked the organisation if I could get a notification e-mail when tickets for parking came up for resale. Unfortunately they don't offer this service and asked to regularly check the site myself. So I did and what do you know: suddenly there are tickets for parking, grandstands etc available again that were sold out before...

Yes they enabled that possibility for people who bought tickets but later decided they cannot attend and want to resell them; better than scalpers reselling tickets outside the gates or sold tickets sitting unused when they are sold out and other people being unable to attend.

I go as media so I don't need tickets but I have followed the situation for friends who attend.

Join the ACO just got all my tickets today and pay the additional 45 euros to be in the enclosure, subsidised food/drink and in a private area normally on the drop down after the Dunlop bridge.

Thirteen Ferraris on the provisional entry list so far for the main grids, no lists for the support classes yet. The 312P isn´t on the list (yet?), even though it was on display at the Le Mans Classic stand at Retromobile. Hope it will be there, as well as a few more prototypes (no Ferrari prototypes on the list yet).

Up to 25 Ferraris now, including two 121LMs, two 512Ms and the 312P ´69. Also a 312P ´72 (aka 312 PB) entered by Mr John of B (Jean Guitard). Anyone know the s/n?

I met John Houghtaling for the first time in twenty years at Retromobile and he confirmed he will do LMC with his 121LM. I think his wife might drive too.

They just had a big auction in St Tropez this weekend.

I haven't looked to see if there is another auction but in any case Le Mans Classic week is about racing and passion contrary to Monterey week which has degenerated into multiple auction greed-culation and poseur concours events.

I know which one I will never attend again and which one I will always attend.

Yesterday first day. Lots to see, hot weather, great grand stand! (Right across the pit exit). Already very crowded for a Friday. Navigating the paddock areas etc has become more difficult. The layout isn't all that great to begin with but certain passways were closed, or you had to go over a pedestrian bridge to gain just a few meters.
The addition of loud live "music" is NOT a bonus!

Today we go a bit more prepared with an umbrella as a sunshade :)

Yes important to figure out how to circulate but once you understand the layout it is straightforward...but the place is huge.

Greetings from the pressroom, currently resting with Aircon after hours of walking around:)
