It seems to be doing well at the box office. I would like to see it in Imax after the holiday during a weekday showing.

    I love the:

"The voice at the other end said, 'is that Martin?'.

"'Yes, what do you want?!'. I was almost aggressive.

"He said, 'it's Lewis'. 'Lewis who?'.

    "'It's Lewis Hamilton'."

So, contrary to floklore, not everyone knows who Sir is.

    Hamilton, yes. maybe.

Glad they consulted him, got his approval to use his crash, some people assumed it was done without.

Friday 28 September 1990, Jerez, still remember it vividly...

I haven't seen it yet. Is it like Days of Thunder where Tom Cruise is lingering 17 laps down... on a different track... in a different state... and after a few minutes of pep-talk from his crusty engineer... They show him suddenly down shifting 13 gears, and teleporting, and taking off with new found speed... speed greater than any other car that's ever driven and he's able to pass everyone and win? Is that how this movie goes? It sorda looks that way. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Put all that out of your mind man. Its not cheesy at all, real F1 perception and input was put into it. Go see it. The only thing is I thought Max was gonna get a penalty in the movie, that would have made it even more authentic.

I just got out of seeing F1 again, this time in IMAX. I was front row centre, vow:)!

This is leagues better than that NASCAR movie I saw.....once.

Of course it's a Hollywood fiction movie so allow for that, don't nitpick; let your inner child go wow....but most everything has been checked for being correct and it is.

As one pro critic said this film grabs you from the start and doesn't let go, the script and plot are much better than expected, very happy with it.

You're thinking of Cars, which also had exotics in it, and was a good movie.

Saw it yesterday with the local FCA chapter as Ferrari of Long Island sponsored a movie night and rented the whole theater for us. We all thought it was great. It was kind of like Rocky with cars lol.

I've seen it twice on 70mm IMAX. Really good. The racing (in)authenticity did not bother me, the visuals were incredible and the characters charming. It was fun.

If you want to see Schumacher he is in one of the Asterix the Gaul films, racing a horse cart against Romans and all comers and Jean Today manages those fast horse cart wheel pitstops, watching laptimes with his sand timer;-)

I’m a bit of a video and sound snob and despise my local theaters so I’m hopeful it will show up on a streaming channel in 4kHD soon!

I wanted to hate this movie but you all have convinced me to give it a shot.

Gonna check it out at the local IMAX since it’s raining.

I really liked it. All of the on track camera work is really well done. If you listen to the F1 Beyond the Grid podcast they interviewed Brad Pitt. F1 and the teams really helped it come together. The only thing I would have added is an after the credits scene of Rocket Powered Mohawk broadcasting and ranting about something from his bathtub. And Kerry Condon is a little cutie. Have liked her since Ray Donovan.

Really liked the movie and gave me many thoughts. Of course it is reminiscent of "Grand Prix" and borrowed/gave a nod to it in several aspects including the car flying off at Monza. I'll have to do some Wikipedia search to learn more about how they shot the film, it did look authentic. Including the scene of the horror accident at Jerez, which I believe is the real footage as well, sadly.

Brad Pitt and Javier are crucial in this picture to keep it alive from a human perspective. In that sense it's what Tom Cruise and Val Kylmer did in Top Gun, a movie similar in style and effect as a super ad for the Navy/F1. In fact F1 racing looked a lot more interesting in the movie than in real life. Alas.

As I came home from the movie theatre which had laser projection (whatever that means, but looked super sharp and brilliant) I watched the recording of the Silverstone qualifying and was disappointed by the picture: Despite my cable TV and 4k TV set, it looked flat compared to the scenes in the movie. TV is not movie quality. Trivial observation but true.

Also was wondering why Monaco wasn't featured in the movie?

Seems such an obvious choice. Does anybody know? Did Monaco not want to be in it?

Massively complicated logistics, no spare room for the film production gear and crew etc etc. in MC there isn't a square foot of space to spare with F1, F2 etc. the F3 paddock is or was in...a parking garage!
