I like the display which spans from the left to the right A-pillar. For some reason it seems to attract dead insects on its outside though
The only use I’ve found is in my wife’s Cayenne— I can enter nav destinations and routes while she’s driving. Whether that’s worth the cost…
Most are a check box on the order sheet. When I got to Mondrian, I don’t get upset a salad is on the room service menu. I most certainly didn’t get perturbed when Jessica ordered one on in her room. That’s said Karen might have got upset and wanted to talk to management about their food offerings..
Useless, and they break/leak. When it's time to hunt down a Lusso T, I'll be looking for the "low-spec" kind of car, with no passenger display and a hardtop roof. Aging Italian tech is no bueno.
I’m just glad I got my Puro before they made it standard. It’s nice to look over and see glossy black plastic instead of a screen.
When I let my friend drive my 296 it was cools seeing the revs, speed, etc. In prior iterations the passengers rarely interact/ use it. I think they are afraid.
…..I thought we were going only 30 miles an hour,(it was said)… no thanks, my passenger already knows too much
They are useless as you can't do anything on them other than view some worthless info that the passenger probably wouldn't understand anyway.... BUT, it s a must have for me as it makes the interior that much cooler. I wouldn't get a newer Ferrari without it.
If you don't get it, it looks like something is missing with the blank panel. For that reason alone, I gotta have it.
I didn’t order one for my F8 s. I did add a second hand Porto a few years ago that had it and I sorta like it.
Considering I never sit in the passenger seat it's usefulness is of no interest to me whatsoever. It's a bit harsh saying people don't understand the info on it... it's not that deep or technical. Ladies that like cars love it in my experience and if they don't they probably ain't getting in it either! Knowing it is an option makes the car seem like it's missing something. Then there are those people who look at the car only to say... you didn't get the passenger display! Even though they didn't get the car! That being said it looks very cool and I would not have a Ferrari without it... if it's an option! Even better if you didn't buy the car brand new and pay full option price.
We use ours in the Portofino all the time. It's our road trip car and my wife and I share the driving. I love being able to easily see the speed when she's driving. It's always a hit when I give people a ride. I'd definitely order it again.
They are made for the China market as those displays are popular there (the more tech/displays the better is their thinking). They are not made for the US, not Europe. Hope that makes sense. A lot of the uglification of current western cars is due to make them more appealing to the Chinese market which is the second largest market. I wished they had better ways to deal with this.
