I had a 360 spider- manual. It felt slow before I finally upgraded to the 458 Sp.

I think I made up my mind that’s to purchase a 296 I forgot to mention that I already had a pista and an F8 along with all the prior models the 360 to 430 and 458…. I’m just a little concerned on the further depreciation how much more? that’s why I’m trying to get the one I want at the lowest possible price

Much of the car has been de-risked already. The next iteration will likely be much more expensive with tariffs and the 296 is already around F8 prices.

The 296 may be riskier from here (probably not much) than an F8 and in return you will have a much more entertaining ride. What’s more important? Only you can decide.

The 296 provides borderline hyper car performance in a package that’s actually usable as a road car. The car is a bargain.

. you made some very good valid points … TARIFFS !!! and the next model will be so much more expensive … ferrari is not slowing down on their profits … And even to get an F8, you have to put a suspension in there you have to put in an exhaust system. You have to replace the wheels completely. That’s quite a pretty penny….. with the 296 you get a complete car right out of the box

IMO, if within reasons, life is kinda short, time ticks away daily and will not replenish. At least for me I try to live with sense of urgency. At current price a majority of risk is gone imo. Market likes to overshoot to both down and upside.

I said within reasons, I do not like to buy the top, somewhere in between is fine while prefer as low as possible. I picked up F8 for $415k with carbon wheels in 2022, overpaid but that was market in 2022. In comparison, 296 now is insane bargain relative to what is available in this market. We had a few years of artificially inflated market, now is just back to normal. In 2017 I bought 488GTB for $325k, added full ppf, not a single blemish, rosso corsa, tan daytona carbon race seats with seat lifter, carbon led sterering wheels, etc, drove for a year, sold for $235k. That was just one year, it sat on consignment at $245k at Ferrari dealer, paid $2500ish to have it certified for a while with no interest what so ever. People forgot what pre-covid market and spoiled from the hyper inflated market past few years where even getting a new Toyota has dealer mark ups.

Inflation adjusted, the car market today is not bad at all for car lovers, preowned 296 is not far off a Huracan Tecnica while offer world of better performance. I mentioned Tecnica because it is a great car and in 296 price range, if I must buy in that range, it is high on my list next to 296.

Then just buy the cheapest one on the market. But certainly they’ll go down. As could any of the others. I don’t think 296 has crazy drops ahead. Especially if it’s a few years old. It already got smacked.

I believe that when we reach the first battery changes, we will be able to analyze the extent of the depreciation...

Sticker is $517. Should end up just under $400 if I had to guess.

if I had to guess- a little less than 10% off. I would be surprised to see 20% off. We shall see.
