https://bringatrailer.com/listing/shelby-cobra-csx8000-4/ aluminum body.....DAVID WAGNER built 1965 Shelby cobra .. built by David Wagner in 2011..only 300 miles perfect condition kept in my HVAC CONTROLLED GARAGE....
Great color scheme. I noticed this car when was first listed several days ago. Should have looked at the userid closer. GLWTA!
Thanks for the nice comments .. The car is truly beautiful .... I have owned 2 previous continuation Shelby cobras, and when I saw one of David Wagner's cars . The difference in details were so great > I decided I had to have one of them so I found this car bought it in 2017 ..and somehow I never got around to driving it .I drove it for a few 30mile trips but then just kept it she looks so perfect in my home garage...But now it is time to sell.. For info David Wagner is retired now ...
I'm a bit surprised you would let this one go, but I understand (as an owner of a Superformance replica) that a Cobra can be impractical compared to other choices that one may have in their collection. Still, it's one of my favorites for the raw driving experience...
Very Nice, Probably a Kirkham body....no underside shots..Is it leaf springs? Would look outrageous in Black! You should put this link on Bat https://images.ebizautos.com/sites/7863/pages/David_Wagner_Built_Aluminum_Cobras.pdf GLWS!
A shameless bump.. The car ends at 6:00 east coast time …about 75 minutes from nw currently at $226 at this moment .If anyone is interested…..
Yes it was ..went on for nearly an hour it did very well ..I think the seller also got a very nice cobra..
Yes .. I sold it to PROTEAM , cause it had some concerns and needed new paint which on a glass car is $$$ … still a nice car but I did not want to sell it to an individual . I know Terry and he has bought maybe 8 corvettes from me over the years and I have purchased similar number from him
I totally get it. I sold my 67 427 a little cheap (ok really cheap looking at values now). Even so, the guy I sold it to took forever(over a month) to pick it up, then had to pour over the numbers on the engine trans rear plate under dash etc, when he already paid in full & had everything. Of all of the cars & vehicles I have ever owned, corvette buyers have been the worst I have ever dealt with on multiple transactions. They are also the first to point out a wrong hose clamp at a car show, even though they drove a minivan there & own zero collector cars....YMMV but I doubt it with Corvette guys.
Yeah..I know that heckI sold a different 427 several years back and the buyer brought a inspector with him to pick the car up they spent 5 hours going over it .it was 1am by the time I asked them to leave .However in this case the car looked perfect and ran fine but the paint had hairline spider webbing all over it was old lacquer paint which meant it was ready to pop but it was still good enough that it looked great in pictures ..I was concerned it was misrepresenting itself.. So I sold it to Terry from proteam and told him he was good so I sold it for a fair price Considering The cost of paint…
