The Story of My First Ferrari About 20 months ago, I fulfilled a lifelong dream: I purchased my very first Ferrari. Like many kids, I grew up dreaming of owning one, though I never believed it would actually happen. So, you can imagine my excitement when that dream finally became a reality. I chose the Ferrari GTC4Lusso, and here’s why: it could comfortably accommodate my wife and our three large standard poodles for long road trips, and its four-wheel drive was perfect for navigating the snowy conditions of Sun Valley, Idaho, where I live. The V12 engine sealed the deal with its incredible sound, performance, and versatility. Over the past 20 months, I’ve driven it nearly 32,000 miles through just about every condition imaginable: mountain canyons, snowy and icy roads, and even some light off-roading. Every mile has been an adventure, and I’m still as in love with this car as the day I bought it. That said, Ferrari ownership comes with its quirks. Here’s a quick rundown of my experience: • Tires and Rims: I’ve gone through four flat tires and damaged three rims. Thankfully, Tire Rack’s tire guarantees have been a lifesaver. • Batteries: I’ve replaced two batteries (one covered under warranty). • Warranty Work: The extended Ferrari Power15 warranty has been worth every penny. It covered a $10,000 steering column replacement and has handled all the necessary services. I can’t recommend this warranty enough—extend it as far as you can while your car is under 56,000 miles! Right now, my car is at the dealership in Los Angeles for some additional warranty work and (hopefully) one last warranty extension. And for those wondering: yes, I’m still on the original PTU with no issues. The GTC4Lusso has been everything I hoped for and more. I adore the styling, and I intend to keep this car for the rest of my life. It’s not just a car—it’s an experience. For anyone else out there who owns a Ferrari: what’s your story? Nice! I daily my ‘17 as well (1500-2000mi/mo) Have you come out ahead in your warranty claims so far? I’ve chosen to just “self insure”… on average, Ferrari isn’t going to lose $ on the warranties

I got a 4 year unlimited warranty from 3rd party for ~$16k, no annual inspections needed, bumper to bumper except for wearables. Prior to that, got valve Job and x2 steering racks paid by Ferrari warranty, so about even on that. 59k miles now with original PTU. Replaced front shocks and rear bushings/axel recently.
