Just hit 1,700 miles in 18-months of ownership of my car, and still haven’t had a single issue that I needed dealer assistance with. (*I did have one issue where my tail-lights stayed on a for couple of days after a detailer pressure washed the car, but it went away on its own once it dried out). One other thing to note, I use a standard extension cord to charge my car (contrary to what Ferrari recommends), with absolutely zero issues.

I drive it 99% of the time in performance mode, although I do use EV mode pulling out of and into my driveway/garage. Only mods I have are 22”/21” wheels on PS4S, PPF on entire car (including the windshield), ceramic coating on entire car and wheels, and ceramic tint.

If others want and to chime in about theirs, that’d be great, but either way, this the best car I’ve owned (compared to 2 other Ferraris, Lambo, Porsche, Maserati, AMG, M, GT-R, Corvettes, Viper), and I feel extremely fortunate to be able to own it.

I’m around 12-months of ownership no issues and drive mine same mode as you:) I’m considering a valve controller to keep valves open its a spectacular machine

I really like the idea of a valve controller.

In my experience messing with the exhaust valves, at least on prior models, has a negative impact on low rev throttle response unless you tune the ECU.

I've never had that issue on both the F12 and 812. I doubt the 8 cylinders are any different.

I had it on my TDF, 458, F12, and F430. The difference in throttle response was noticeably weaker. I will allow that there may be different personal sensitivity to this. I asked my mechanic who worked on factory challenge cars and he said the system is expecting back pressure which the flap control can remove if you set it to open.

This always stuck with me as it makes sense. He told me this is a system, and when you make a change to one part, you can expect another part to be affected. He recommended if we made the change to the exhaust even just the flaps, that we tune the engine a bit. I tried it first without the tune, as I wanted to see for myself, and I did. It was softer, and I didn’t like it. So on the 458 for example we went with a tune, with the tdf we put it back to factory.

I would also note on the older cars the flap was vacuum controlled, on the newer cars it’s electronically controlled, and apparently there is more feedback to the ECU about whats happening. I’m not sure if this makes a valve controller better or worse; but I think the advice is still good.

Owned my SF90S AF for 2.5 years traveled over 8000 km no issues to report, absolutely love the car and if I had to have only one toy car this would probably be it, it is currently on it's way to NZ for a 6 days Ferrari Tour which will commence on the 31st of Oct, I can not wait.

I've been doing the open valves since the 612. Two screws in the tubes use a stainless steel tie wrap- done. Crazy is how good the stock Roma sounds vs SF90,

SF90 reliable high performance rear engine - 20 years after the timeless 360.

I can only tell you what my mechanic told me and also my experience which directly backs it up. I wouldn't mess with it unless you also address what the engine is expecting. I wonder if the Roma is a coupe and prior to GPF?

Interesting, it could be due to the engine plumbing

I am appreciating the current prices I see for an amazing car. I feel like I have to get one before people start to fight over these cars again.

joining you guys soon. Anything I should look out for?

So cool to see you here Will. You have gone though a ton of cars, so you already know the car market dynamic and factors that can affect the prices. For one the rate will come down, that will play a big factor for a lot of people. Only thing you need to look for is make sure it is plugged in, similar to F8 do not let 12V battery run dry. I plug in my every 3 days, as I drive daily. No issues.

I had bunch of similar cars as you. From Aventador SV to F8, etc, a ton of old school classics too (first Ferrari 20 years ago with gated manual 360). Picked up SF90 in FEB, which to me based on cars I have experienced so far, just nuts. Even when driving fit relaxingly, it feels like it can bully any of cars I have driven without any effort (like Michael Jordan in his prime playing a subpar college player), performance gap just too massive even compare to F8 or 992 Turbo S. Far more responsive than NA, EV like of instant responds. Suspension is so nice, I never need to put it in bumpy road setting even once unlike in my previous F8 which I use bumpy road setting a lot.

Originally I was going to pick up Temerario, it be well over $500k with Alleggerita package and options I want. Heavier than SF90, little bull presence like Hurcan. Doesn't have that Aventador big boss feel which I loved. Thankfully price for SF90 came down so much that, it became a no brainer for me, plus it has that Aventador like of presence while more elegant look without being too offensive.

Knowing you, you will be adding mods to the car, even stock in upper RPM sounds great, just hard to explore upper rpm without carrying crazy speed and break speed limit. Lower rpm when valves closed is too quiet. At minimum valve controller is must.

thanks for your thoughts and everyone else that chimed in on my comment. I’m very excited about picking up an SF90. But actually the only mod I have planned would be to lower the car but from what I am reading it seems you can lower the car on the stock suspension? The spec I am looking at is a 2021 with no CarPlay. It I think I can add it at a Ferrari dealer so I may do that. Tomorrow I will decide on a car to put a deposit on. It’s narrowed down to a car for $440k. That’s a 2021 and a car that’s listed at $480k 2023 and very well optioned but not my preferred color and interior is maybe a bit too similar to my f8. are there a lot of issues with scraping in the sf90 if no front end lift?

also to the person that asked about my revuelto experience here is a video where I sum it up:

Yes you can lower it on stock suspension ! I didn’t go with the new Lamborghini Revuelto…didn’t feel the same after owning these :) SF90 not going anywhere it really is a amazing machine!

Mine is currently getting lowered on novitec springs. The tech that is doing it said that customers complained about the drive on ones he lowered on stock springs.

Probably just an up sell but I didn't want to take the risk.

I like this thread haha you guys are way cooler than some other threads on here haha maybe we can keep this thread going.
So man, there are some good deals popping up almost daily. I'm in love with a 2021 that is decently priced at $440k but some of the other ones popping up are newer 2023 cars that have carplay standard and BRAD and other nice options, just not quite the right color combos but gonna negotiate a bit to see what I can make happen. Hopefully I can lock one down early this week and move on to shipping my F8 in and waiting for the SF90 to ship to me...
My biggest delimma has been around spec. Do I get the car I like most that is short a couple of good resell options, or do I get the car I can tolerate that has good resell options. I had one car that checked both boxes but it sold 1 day after being relisted.

    In my opinion:
    1. Front end Lift / "Suspension Lifter"
    2. Apple CarPlay
    3. BRAD (Blind Spot Radar System) although hardly any cars I see have this option
    4. Carbon Fiber front splitter, side vents, steering wheel, center console
