Yup, exactly that . Plus holding up the bumper and finding something to rest it on while dealing with the washer fluid!
Big thanks for the feedback here guys! We will make sure to QC check all of those connectors before sending out the next round - which will be this week. We have spare harnesses if any arent crimped properly, and will replace prior to shipping if we find any. Expect more tracking numbers coming Wednesday!
I just got a tracking number, but UPS says they don't have possession yet, so does that mean mine will be "checked" before shipping, or is it already boxed up and just waiting for pickup?
Yes we have lights to fulfil the rest of the orders and are double checking everything before going out. Thanks to all who shared constructive feedback, such as on the turn signal harnesses (which we'll mitigate any further issues with) Looking forward to getting the rest of these out to everybody in the group & checking out more installs soon!
Yeah!! It looks like mine shipped! I'm thinking about getting my bumper re-sprayed (nero daytona) while it is off, so time to move on that
Got mine a few days ago and harnesses seem nicely crimped! It’ll probably be winter before I try to install them but fit and finish looked really nice. Concourse judge might notice the difference but only after trying to figure out why the period correct factory installed spiderwebs are missing. Far cry from the “HID projectors” upgrades I allegedly performed on at least one Japanese automobile in my youth.
haha yes exactly - they're more likely to notice the lack of patina than the difference compared to OE. Things have definitely come a long way since the old HID projector retrofit days. Hard to believe I started TRS 20 years ago! that was back in 2005
Dang it, can't believe I missed this awesome GB. I had signed up on FB for it but didnt get any notificaitons about it. Was gonna go for 430 carbon smoked. Thank you @GogglesPisano and @trsmatt for putting this together and allowing it to happen for the community.
Would love to see some more installed photos. I'm interested in the painted version and hearing if there were any challenges with sealing them
This is a reminder that there is a subtle difference in supporting the participants in a group buy organized by users and promoting additional sales by the manufacturer/seller. The first is OK, the second is not. Additional sales by the manufacturer/seller should be done in the classified ad section or via sponsorship of the site. Thanks for your cooperation.
@ylshih completely understand & respect. That said, please PM me details on becoming a sponsor for Fchat. Thank you!

Can't believe I still haven't opened the box yet. Mine arrived over a week ago, but I have been dealingwith a Cayenne headlight issue on my wife's SUV since we've had some heavy rain. That issue is now solved thanks to a place that redoes headlamps in NJ so now I really hope I have time to open up the box and check out the new 430 headlights this weekend.
Apparently, 6 out 5 headlights on all 958.2 Cayenne's will have water intrusion due to the material used to seal the headlamps. I contacted a place called Lightwerkz in North Jersey https://lightwerkz.net/, and they not only cleaned up the water before it cost me a $5,000 headlight, but they also replaced the lenses and resealed the headlight using Butyl instead of the silicone that seems to fail on these lights. The lights look brand new. The price was pretty reasonable for both. The only wrinkle was getting one of the headlights out. Back when the car was new, with about 300 miles on it, my wife lightly scuffed a pole in the parking lot. The bumper came off, and they must have reinstalled the headlight with one of the lower adjustable support bolts turned 45 degrees. So it was jammed in there, and it took my son and me a couple of hours to get it out without damaging anything. Reinstallation was a breeze once I turned the support adjuster bolt straight so it can slide in smoothly to the retaining bracket.
Looks like for those of us that missed the group buy- they’ve dropped the price to $3K. Just ordered mine today!
The patient is on the table. Before shot of the webbing in OE light. Unfortunately, my gauge cluster is failing and I just removed it. So while I can install the headlights, I have no way to test them until I get the cluster back. Hopefully next week sometime.
You guys aren't interested in refurbishing gauge clusters are you? It's $4k currently to get the board swapped. Glad there is a solution, but sad at the expense. Competition could solve this issue ; )
Is it too late for one to throw his name into the hat for both CS & Scuderia carbon headlamps with clear signals?
