About the F80, question already answered accurately by member Kmaaq. Regarding the 12C rear flaps, yes, they can be configured in carbon, and in my opinion, the look is more refined than the glossy black.
Thanks for those details. In a more practical sense the black rear flaps were already scratched up on a 12 Cilindri show car that was being presented. The carbon option might be a more durable finish. Though the various PPF products may represent the ultimate protection from sticky fingers.
Good spot! That's my car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this month. Verde Zeltweg with Argento Nurburgring livery. Absolutely loving the car - 3,000 miles done already.
Thank you for confirming your 12 Cilindri as Verde Zeltweg with Argento Nurburgring livery. The dark green paints are often tricky to get the correct name but look gorgeous. Great to hear from a happy 12 Cilindri owner!
I took clearer pictures of the rear flaps. As you can see they are fully CF but a black plastic piece is attached on top. Kinda looks tacky and defeats the purpose IMO. Wow. Like, "I get it", they are trying to preserve the principle of the gloss black design aesthetic with no compromise. That said, I would be pissed if I had spec'd all that carbon and the car showed up like that without knowing that was how it was going to look.
I understand from a historical perspective re. the black nose band designed to replicate the 1969 Daytona plexinose but when Ferrari abandonesd the plexi they then painted that nose piece silver and then eventually body color. So the initial Daytona design had three phases which may happen to the 12C.
Last week, I visited a dealer to look at a used 812 GTS. After comparing them side by side, I decided not to buy the 812 anymore. The 12c looks much better in person. It has a great stance, a wide body, and an overall lower height compared to the big 812. The long hood and modern design make it a beautiful change of pace for Ferrari IMO. With all that black there isn't much real-estate left for that Giallo livery to inhabit. Verde Masoni looks great on a 12 Cilindri there, thanks!
Cauley! The one there is a nice spec, especially inside. Also got a side by side (sort of) a few months ago when I dropped my car off @ Service Image Unavailable, Please Login View attachment 5700334
