Not that I don´t like shields, but it´s a fact that they´re overused today. They were supposed to be an "extravagant touch", but now not having them is like being some sort of reactionary misanthropist.

Anybody care to add opinions about wheel cap and steering wheel shields? The brand does put the logo touches as much as other brands.

For wheel caps, either silver or black, anything BUT yellow. I also remember seeing steering wheel shields in black, which I liked a lot.

It makes me sad how much worse Ferraris look without shields. It shocks me that those little shields are making such a huge difference in the sexiness of Ferraris.

I don't know of any shields on the wheel caps or steering wheel. In my opinion, some of this can't be helped. Modern ferraris come with the caps in yellow (though incorrect yellow). So while its not correct... its... factory correct?! This is OK because that's how it left the factory.
Now ultra modern Ferraris you can have it any color you want for the wheel caps. I remember Marcel had his in Verde Seabird for his F12 and it was pure class.

I don't know if what you are talking about is the Cavallino or the actual Scuderia Shields though...

In ten years, I think we'll see shieldless 2000s cars advertised as a value-add

    I get it—the FF/Lusso isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but hot damn… Bellissima.

What’s funny is, the real-deal enthusiasts? They’re often all about the long-roof life. I mean, look at Randy Pobst.

That said, I’ll admit my own bias—I never thought the 911 shoe was ever a looker, and this mainstream cars are all “egg-shaped = cool” trend still has me scratching my head. I also think the 456 is one of Ferrari's most beautiful cars, so what do I know?

Thanks! As a fellow owner of a 456 I agree and I won’t sell her;-)
I love the shooting brake form of the Lusso with the sloping roofline and wide body. Other pictures on the Stelvio pass

I usually prefer the evo of all Ferrari models,

    246>206
    328>308
    355>348
    t > 8
    456M > 456
    Gt4c > lusso
    430 > 360
    412 > 365
    Etc

The F12 and 512tr being the only two exceptions.

    Your F12 is exquisite.

Opinions vary for sure--- to me, it''s just not a Ferrari without the fender shields....
