Curious as to how many of the 330 GTS are still known to have survived?

It was quite a few decades ago when an article in the Ferrari Market News Letter suggested that only 70 examples are accounted for at that time.

    Any more current information available?
    Thanks!

Of the 100 or so made, only 130 are now known to exist! ;)

Ed Waterman at Motorcar Gallery in Fort Lauderdale has followed them for 50 years and has owned at least ten of them, I recall one he got out of very long term storage covered with dust being unloaded at MCG.
So I suggest you speak with him. He won't give away any secrets but he will give you a very good assessment of how many are left.

    Thanks for the responses.

I didn’t expect this information to be difficult. Thought the numbers of surviving Enzo Era production cars was well known within the “community”.

Ed Waterman! A name I wasn’t expecting to hear. Honestly didn’t know he was still alive.

I purchased my car from him 49 years ago!

Walking through that crammed “showroom”, I felt like a kid in a candy store. At any given time, he had so many beautiful toys on display!

He sold a majority of the dealership to some young chaps but he is still there. Winding down of course, yet still wheeling and dealing, it's like breathing to him:) He has an incredible memory about all the cars he has dealt with.

I grew up with my dad’s 330 GTS to drive when I was 20 years old. Had a blast with that car. Now it’s only 2 hours away in Charlotte NC.

Funny…I purchased my first 330 GTC in May 1976….from Ed Waterman too. 49 years ago…same year as you did! Remember when Ed’s dealership was in a parking garage in Arlington.

I believe that it was in that parking garage showroom where we closed the deal on my 330 GTS.

Wasn’t quite the environment I was expecting.

I have been tracking them off and on as hobby since I bought mine in 1987. I have found evidence one way or another that almost all of them still exist, which is amazing. A few that were thought destroyed were quite restorable, and were restored. I think I have no information on 10053 - so if anyone know that car I would love to have the info.

I dropped in to see Ed Waterman last year and he still had his very original car which he bought in 1986. Photo of mine with much older me than when I bought it attached.

Related to the 330 GTS, anyone know the VIN for the GTS that was on display at the 66 Geneva Auto Show - march 10-20th 1966?

The other two 330 cars in the display and are pic'ed in the yearbook, is 330 GT 8289 and the 330 GTC was 8329

I thought some yrs back Russo and Steele auctioned off this particular GTS car (reading the discription in the auction ad)

Am curious it anyone remembers or know the VIN.

    thank in advance...

I have 9627 as the 1967 Geneva car but do not show one tagged for the 1966 show. Any clues as to the color configuration of the car?

It is a 275 GTS. I owned 330 GT #8587 for a number of years and drove it daily. Great cars.
