I looked back what I posted earlier in this thread, there should be 5 wires since it is a 5 pin potentiometer for a very common actuator across many brands like VAG, Fiat, etc.

However, even with 5 wires, still not sure if it functions the same as original 63307100 potentiometer?

FYI I just got the confirmation with a photo from one of the vendors I had checked.

5 wires. Partially putting together a puzzle!

You'd have to check the range of motion and the shape/size of the drive. I'm not sure about the potentiometer value. The ECU may be able to calculate the resistance range, but I guess it would depend on whether the pot was linear or logarithmic.

Yes, the actuator's range of motion is important, i.e. it would need to be similar to that of the original actuator. As for the potentiometer, the AC ECU does not work with the pot's resistances but with the voltages it receives from the pot's middle pin. Being a voltage divider, a potentiometers will, for a given fixed voltage at its end pins, produce the same voltage on its middle pin for various rotational positions irrespective of whether it is a 5K or 10K or 100K potentiometer.

Otherwise, potentiometers in actuators are always linear. The logarithmic pots were developed mainly for the volume control on amplifiers to be in line with the human hearing which is logarithmic.

Erik, it has been relisted on ebay.

However, delivery to USA becomes unavailable and/or very expensive due to the end of of the "de minimis" exemption.

There could be a workaround if you are still interested.

For US, I managed to have a limited local stock in early November so there should no import tariff.

If anyone interested, let me know by mid of October to ensure the supply.

The next window is not foreseen.
