It’s a Turkish coffee grinder my mom bought ages ago.

 

Indonesian style bbq chicken. Poach chicken in heavily seasoned broth then finish by grilling. Good one

Found 2 live mud crabs from Darwin from our local live seafood fishmonger. Decided to try making a Singapore chilli crab dish with them. First attempt at this culinary delight.

What's your take on with row or without.

I grew up where we had a scallop industry right next to me. They always left the row on when processing.

I actually love the row however I notice that Canadian scallops don't have the row whereas Japanese scallops do .

That's why I prefer the Japanese scallops.

 

Here in the central valley, calif they mostly come without. Hokaido scallops are the best!

The whole trip is looking phenomenal!

 

I don’t see raw beef on menus, but found two near me. At Locale in Little Silver, NJ, beef tartare came as a disc, served with slices of toast. Nearby in Rumson, the happy hour menu at David Burkes Red Horse has steak tartare bites, mounds placed on grilled flatbread. The tiny pickled peppers were a nice foil to the rich meat. Both dishes were really good.
