"The key commitments of both sides include:

Establishing a single, all-inclusive US tariff ceiling of 15% for EU goods. As of 1 August, the US will apply this maximum tariff on the vast majority of EU exports. It is an all-inclusive tariff rate and represents a ceiling, including the US most favoured nation (MFN) tariff that was previously stacked on top of additional tariffs the US introduced.
The 15% ceiling applies to nearly all EU exports currently subject to reciprocal tariffs (except where the US MFN tariff exceeds 15%, in which case only the MFN tariff applies with no additional tariffs on top).
The 15% ceiling applies also to cars and car parts, currently subject to a tariff rate of up to 25% tariff with an additional MFN tariff of 2.5%, providing immediate tariff relief."

So, if it remains as stated, should be a 15% hit all-in. Not accounting for exchange rate of course. And it should go into effect preliminarily starting August 1st

I have not received a response from Reza in over two weeks and have noticed no activity from him on the forms either. Does not inspire much confidence especially from someone who has such a long history and reputation here. As such, I reached out to Zanasi to see if I can get any information on the status of the orders. Waiting to hear back

Unfortunately I did just realize that it’s August which means there’s a good chance the response could take a while as they are probably going on holiday

They're on holiday alright. Non-US based person collecting prepayment for replica parts that they claim are made by the OE manufacturer including illegally embossing the trademarked cavalino rampante? That doesnt pass my smell test but truly hope to be proven wrong.

Just to inform you that this is not really a problem regarding trademarks at this age.

Intellectual Property Rights: Ferrari may hold
intellectual property rights such as patents, trademarks, or
copyrights on certain parts of their vehicles. However, these
rights generally have limitations, such as expiration after a
certain period, and may not cover all aspects of a part. Once
these rights expire, others may be able to produce and sell
    compatible parts.
Design Patents: Some parts may be protected by design
patents, which cover the ornamental design of functional
items. However, design patents have a limited term (typically
15-20 years), after which the design enters the public domain,
    allowing others to reproduce it.

I may be wrong as well but I think you guys will all get what you paid for. A lot of progress has been made but with having to fabricate the hinges/knobs, covers, adjusters as well as do what they have done so far it was just a very unrealistic completion date, IMO.

    Hi everyone,

First of all, I want to apologize for the silence and delays – that’s on me. I set the bar very high for these seats, aiming for OEM-level precision in materials, construction, and details – and that standard has taken more time than expected to fulfill.

That said, I want to be fully transparent and show you where things stand today:

Carbon shells are completed for the first production seats
All metal hardware (hinges, rails, adjusters) has been manufactured – enough for over 50 seat units
Upholstery work is now underway using leather and OEM-correct stitch patterns
Foam shaping and trimming is being done by hand – following original Ferrari seat construction methods
Production is handled by skilled craftsmen with Ferrari upholstery and composite experience

You’ll find below a full set of photos taken today showing the trim work in progress on one of the first Beige 4208 customer seats.

I will not sell any more seats until all current customer orders are fully delivered. That’s a decision I made to ensure focus, quality, and follow-through. No exceptions.

I understand the skepticism, especially in a market that’s seen its share of scams and unfulfilled replica parts. That’s exactly why I’ve chosen to take my time and get every detail right, from carbon layup to embossed Cavallino.

This is not a quick-buck project. It’s been a demanding but rewarding journey, and the goal has always been simple:

Deliver seats that are 1:1 accurate (or better) than OEM, in materials, design, and quality.

Thank you to those who have supported the vision so far. You will receive personal updates from me as your sets near completion and shipping.

More updates soon – and I truly appreciate your patience and feedback.

    — Reza

Different vendor, ASM in the Netherlands. Couple months ago.
Customs was a pain, and fed ex later sent me an additional $1600 import tariff bill in the mail. That was with an invoice that only showed part of the purchase price. If the whole cost would have been on the invoice my tariff bill would have been way more.
I know the US import charges change every week or so but it was an extra expense I didn’t really appreciate lol.

The seats are looking amazing. I have objected (quite pointedly!) to some of the complaining in this thread about production delays, and I continue to encourage people to be patient. Reza is doing something unique and valuable here and by the looks of it the final product will be well worth the wait. Keep things in perspective: we are not waiting on heart transplants, we are simply waiting on seats for a car that I am sure isn't a daily driver for any of us. The seats will be done soon and they will be amazing and the people who didn't take up Reza on the introductory pricing will be kicking themselves.

Fabricating complicated reproductions takes time, especially when it's the first go-round, it's a tiny production run, and it involves a great deal of hand craftsmanship from people whose talents are in demand. Nobody is 3D printing these seats. And yes, making something as "simple" as seats is in fact quite complicated -- lots of different materials, components, production processes, and vendors. You are actually making exact reproductions of dozens if not hundreds of sub-components that assemble into a seat.

I think Reza is doing an enormous service to those of us who paid for these seats, which is giving us something we want that we previously had no realistic way of obtaining, and which I am sure for him is not going to be any kind of a money-maker. So please, to the complainers: pipe down. The seats will come soon. Waiting a few extra weeks or even months is not a big deal or unexpected in a project like this.

    @Reza:

Now that we're delayed until probably September or later, and the tariffs are official, who will be responsible for the extra 3,000+ USD import fees?

The seats look fantastic, agreed, but we early adopters/supporters/buyers (sans @Targatime) should only accept excuses on the 30 to 40-day initial advertised shipping time to a finite extent. Any extra money we saved by supporting this early is now negated on what has turned out to be a half-year, $25,000-after-conversion ($30,000+ as advertised currently), considering the 15% tariff that would not have been in effect if these seats had been delayed even three full months.

Is there a plan to share these costs?

    Thank you

If the seats had shipped on their original timeline, allowing for some normal shipping delays, they would have been hit with tariffs a lot higher than 15%.

Previously, it would have been 25% (Imported Auto Parts) + 10% (Ad Velorem Reciprocal Tariff on EU) + Normal HTS classification based duty = approximately 37.5%. These rates have been in effect since ~April or May.

    Hi Edward,

I completely understand your frustration with the unexpected tariff, these things are unfortunately outside of our control, and I wish the timing had worked out differently.

It’s worth noting that the current 15% rate is significantly lower than what it could have been earlier this year (around 37.5% based on the previous import duty/tariff structure). In addition, all orders have free shipping included, which is a considerable cost on large items like the seats, so in effect you’re already saving several thousand dollars compared to standard freight costs.

That said, I truly appreciate your early support in making this project possible, and I want you to feel confident you’re getting maximum value. If there’s anything I can do to make the experience better, I’m happy to discuss that with you directly.

Thanks again for your patience and support, the seats will be worth the wait

Update on Ferrari 355 Carbon Seats

All 355 sets are now completed

Here’s a first look at 3x finished pairs, just waiting on final installation of rails and side covers.

We went with full OEM-correct carbon layup, lacquered to match factory gloss, and all upholstery follows period-correct leather, stitching, and embossed Cavallino. More photos coming soon.

The 550 seats are also progressing nicely, but still need a bit more time for final trimming and fitting.

We will soon begin production for batch 2 of 355 seats

→ If you’re interested, feel free to PM me or email [email protected]

Thanks to everyone who’s supported this project, it’s been a huge undertaking to get it 100% right.

No place in the world could have done a better job getting the accuracy needed. Make no mistake, this was a difficult/high level project. I’ve seen re-upholstery jobs of the original factory seats look horrible.
