Nascar Drinking game: take a shot every time Steve LeTard says "chaos" Warning: you may die from alcohol poisoning
I rather like the Charlotte "roval". To me it's a better road course than Daytona and Indianapolis. Kudos to Tyler Reddick and his crew for coming back from near-disaster with a remarkable repair and a vigorous drive. And to Hendrick Motorsports for getting all 4 cars into the final 8!
For those suffering from "who dat?", Amazon Prime has the NASCAR channel which plays old races. Right now I'm watching 1996 Riverside with Robbie Gordon, Jeff Gordan, Tony Stewart, and all the other names that I consider "real" NASCAR. Now get off my damned lawn, whippersnappers.
Meanwhile, Shane van Gisbergen (SVG) has now won 3 of the last 5 Cup races !!!! Still needs to figure out the ovals but the guy is almost unbeatable on road courses (IIRC, he won Mexico City by 40+ seconds !!!)
My first thought when he hit was broken arm. With a broken collarbone, I am not sure how that is going to affect him driving-wise, and those 5-point belts may hurt a bit? And if they don't hurt, the G-forces will...? I had lost interest in NASCAR racing, but watching Carson Hocevar in the Cup series and Conner in this series revitalized my interest - a little.
SVG with another win, now tied with Hamlin for most wins this season (4) 11.1 sec margin of victory, another ass whoopin' by the Kiwi
