Budget friendly? $600 for a basic general admission ticket to see the race from a poor position? I'd hate to see what an unfriendly option is... well, I guess previous years!

Alot of local Las Vegas videos(local news and people) of how slow tourism has become recently on YouTube. Not looking good for the casinos and businesses. People are complaining about the added fees to the hotel like parking fees for example.

Vegas reached its economic tipping point for me, years ago. Just nothing there worth it. F1 will get the blame for tipping it over the edge. Liberty skimmed off the cream, Vegas will eat the dirt.

Liberty personally promoting this as a show-piece of their 'empire' until its not. It will be interesting to see how they continue on with this event. Given how many races there are now, one being notable for anything is hard to recall.

Lando bashing Oscar is Canada is probably the most memorable thing on track. Horner being fired, off track. Vegas..........never looks great on the tele unless from above the city. On track its a wall of fence either side, and light overhead. Singapore is far more dramatic as a night event so far to me.

What promoter would take this on as an entity with such ambiguous numbers and status is near term confirmed, but not long term, if Liberty looked to give the promotion up to a new organization.

Every time I fly/drive through Vegas, I remain inclined to spend $0.25 in a slot machine, once.

Every year the price has been less than the last one. This year I paid like $1600 for a 3 day pass at The Sphere zone. It was 1900 last year and 2200 the first year. This year food is not "free all you can eat.", which I think will improve the experience. So they are learning each year how to improve and adjusting pricing.

Would be difficult to do now. Only a very few slot machines downtown still take coins. mainly for the novelty. Today you would have to put in $1.00, pull he handle one time, then cash out getting your paper voucher. Next take the paper to the cashier and get your seventy five cents.

I haven't gambled in well over 30 years. I can't remember the last time but it might be in the 90's.

Odd that they have to learn this. They could have talked to the organizers of the Austin F1 race. It was the same story there: First year you can only get package deals of hotels plus F1 tickets. Then you can get 3 day tickets and eventually 1 day tickets. I hate the package deals, ridiculously expensive for stuff I don't want/need. I prefer to chose my own hotel and select a one day ticket (normally Friday when the crowds are smaller). Then again I probably don't fit their customer demographic since I don't care for the parties etc. I just want to see the cars (and they look the same each day).

Maybe. But the first year there was a lot of excitement. And I think some of it was driven by what the Resorts were seeing and they tried to suck as much money up to pay for what must be one of the most expensive races to run a year. I was told as soon as last year's race was over that prices for this year would be significantly less, particularly at the low end. And they have been following through on that. It is a unique race at a unique place with unique weekend experiences beyond just the track events themselves.

I think the big issue is, is it a worthy venue. And the answer is without question "yes" despite what everyone said when they saw the track layout. The racing in both years was really exciting, there were a lot of passes, the event and venue itself is well run and organized aside from the very first time the cars hit the track and that night was cancelled. And people seem to enjoy being close to the track and the activities before and after the race. I particularly like the Sphere zone because it has a lot of interesting concerts and performances going on between track times, which have been really well done.

The people most upset are people who don't come. Everyone I've talked to who has come has very much enjoyed the experience they had. Well, except for Max Verstappen, who is an ass. :)

I totally agree that it is a good venue and hope it will stay on the calendar. Aside from being a cool place, it was another clever move by Liberty to make the sport more popular in the US.

Fresh commitment for Las Vegas Grand Prix
The Las Vegas Grand Prix has secured $20 million worth of sponsorship across its 2026 and 2027 events.

The investment was approved by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board, which unanimously approved $10 million in spending for each event.

The new deal follows on from an initial $6.5 million annual commitment that expires following this year’s event.

“We’re thrilled with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s action today, officially approving our continued partnership with the destination,” said Emily Prazer, president and CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix.

“The strong relationships we’ve built with the tourism and business communities have made it possible for us to present one of the most exciting and anticipated races on the Formula 1 calendar. We look forward to working together for many years to come.”

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is in the final year of its current contract, with a new deal yet to be formally announced.

Despite that, it is listed on the F1 2026 calendar and is expected to remain a feature of the schedule well beyond as Liberty Media – owner of Formula One Management and F1’s commercial rights – seeks a return on a $600 million investment to create the event.

Speaking over the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, Prazer stated that discussions were underway regarding a new two-year deal, a timeframe that matches the LVCVA’s announced sponsorship commitment.

However, such an extension would still leave the event among the shortest contracted races on the calendar.

F1 Arcade Las Vegas opening soon at Forum Shops
    https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/motor-sports/formula-1/f1-arcade-las-vegas-opening-soon-at-forum-shops-3460941

F1 Arcade Las Vegas at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is set to open to guests next month.

    The 21,000-square-foot space,
scheduled to open on Oct. 17, will be the largest F1 Arcade in the U.S., boasting 87 full-motion racing simulators, food and beverage options and a rooftop terrace with Strip views.

Simulators can be used for a variety of experiences including head-to-head or team racing.

The space will also feature multiple reaction-based games, similar to the Batak style training used F1 drivers.

F1 Arcade features food menu with a large selection of dishes including seafood towers and wagyu beef sliders. The space’s beverage program will feature signature cocktails concocted by LP O’Brien, the winner of the first season of the Netflix series “Drink Masters.”

F1 Arcade will also host watch parties for grand prix races from around the world, with the action streamed live on the large televisions around the facility, with unlimited sim racing before races begin and competitions for prizes, and a DJ will play tunes after each race.

Details on watch Party tickets will be announced in the fall.

“There’s no better place to open F1 Arcade than right here in Las Vegas at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect,” Adam Breeden, founder and CEO of F1 Arcade, said in a statement. “With all the racing buzz hitting the city this fall, we’re giving everyone a chance to feel that adrenaline for themselves. Whether you’re a die-hard fan, a first-timer, or just here to eat, drink and soak up the elevated vibe, it’s going to be a hell of a ride.”

The Las Vegas arcade opening comes on the heels of openings in Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Denver. F1 Arcade plans to open 30 new venues within five years.

F1 Arcade Las Vegas will be open from noon to midnight Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-midnight Sunday. Guests of all ages are welcome until 7 p.m., with those looking to use the simulators must be at least 7 years old. After 7 p.m. guests 21 and older with a valid I.D. will be allowed in, and children under 14 years old must be supervised by an adult at all times.

The space is already accepting reservations for simulator racing, with pricing starting at $26 per driver. Admission to F1 watch parties starts at $59 per person.

Sweet. Did you try the sims? Do they have force feedback or even any seat movement? What's the game/software running?
