    Hi guys,

I get flashing hazard lights after a while when i lock my car. No alarm sound. What is the car trying to tell me :)?

It's telling you your siren is broken... and possibly something is not latched properly (bonnet, boot, door switch faulty?).

    Right, Ian.

Bedrari, refer to sections I0 - I4 in the Alarm System Manual...

I believe a faulty anti-jacking sensor can also cause these issues. I'm not sure where it is located on a 550

    There are two different types:

If you close the doors and lids (with the ignition key on), you should be able to see if they are still showing open on your instrument panel.

If you need a new siren, you can do the same thing I did and use one of Mark's GM units reflashed with Ferrari software.

Terry is the stock corvette alarm not plug and play as is. My car being Swiss doesn’t flash lights or chirp, the interior dome light is the only indication of fob button having been pushed.

The programming seems to vary on the GM alarms. You may get one which doesn't behave in the way Ferrari intended. The flashing lights, I assume, are a function of the Immobiliser ECU, but I'm not sure about the chirping and LED light behaviour.

It's probably best to contact FChatter @gobble of "Ferrarifobs".

The security system is programmed differently for different countries to comply with national laws. Some countries do not allow sirens or audible warnings.
There is a whole list of different programs.

The big problem with the unaltered GM sirens is that some do not go off when they should. Kind of defeats the purpose of having an alarm. Like Brian said, the alarm ECUs/immobilizers vary, not the Ferrari siren.

The Corvette item just needs the connector off of your old original siren spliced onto the new siren. Simple to do, and works perfectly.

Make sure the alarm actually sounds off when it should. That has been a repeating problem.

Whats the best way to test the alarm? In my Corvette days I always locked the car with the windows down then reached in and opened the door from inside. Suppose to work the same with the 575? I see some Euro cars don't have the panic mode.

Affirmative, that will work. You can also just unlock her with a key and open the door without disarming the alarm.

Is the siren the one behind the front left fender?

Sitting in drivers seat it is in front of right front wheel. Accessible in 550 by removing headlight, on 575 access from bottom of car.
