    This particular SP3 is the only example I can recall where the fender and door area are covered when testing a finished SP3. It may be hiding unique details or simply protecting a personal number the client has chosen.

    It's for a Charitable Foundation. Probably someone got a tax write-off to liquidate their mooning stocks :)
    Also it moves you straight to the top of the Ferrari VIP list.

    I had my car about 25 yards away from this new SP3 at the Quail.... While 20-30 Youtube "youngins" were all waiting for an engine rev,
    I yelled STOP as loud as I could with everyone (and the owner) looking at me like I was an idiot AS HE WAS STARTING TO MOVE FORWARD...
    then, I ran over to the front of the car, picked up the metal plaque and handed it to the owner.
    I now have have a new friend :)

    Hard to believe but this SP3 was the winner's first Ferrari purchase.

    I don’t think someone with $26m to spend on a single car needs “high status”. That sounds very ego driven. $26m gets you every modern Ferrari, several of the hypercars and a few million left over. Enough to get “status” anytime he wants.

    Sometimes people are just kind and philanthropic, with no angle needed. In this case, he supported a good cause, helped a lot of people, and ended up with something special to remind him of his generosity. From what I know of him, he gives quite a lot to various charities and is not a Ferrari collector. Just a good guy doing good things and I’m happy for him.
