The Canna di Fucile is a great color for the tdF. There was only one 2004 Challenge Stradale painted that rare color.

I think sudden spike in Tdf price is because is now the only one currently for sale in US by Ferrari dealer. Recent spikes in Pista and Speciale prices recently for similar reasons.
Or the spike is because enthusiast sentiment has converged on the reality that future cars, with all the regulatory constraints, will not be meaningfully better than the Tdf (or 812 Comp for that matter).
Yes, probably that reality driving purchases. So with supplies dwindling, of course dealers increase prices accordingly.
CdF sold < 1 week. RC one for $1.9M now pending. So there's zero F12tdf's publicly for sale now in US.
Prices in Europe seem to be around €1.4M to €1.6M euros, so that's close ($1.9M would be in the highest bracket, but here it's from a Ferrari dealer, and the US tend to always have higher prices).
This one was listed for 1.69M about 2 weeks ago just prior to the Pebble Beach auctions. It is interesting because there was no TDF at any auction house to create a price point for the dealer to increase the price.
But there was a 599 GTO and 812 Comp that both cracked $2mm... The higher end (bluechip, if you will) Ferrari market tends to move in relative lockstep... Tastes may ebb and flow, but generally the market for like-kind cars moves together. Where 599 GTOs go, so will TDFs, and so will 812 Comps...
