My parents were visiting from NJ, and while I was at work my dad was joyriding the Modena. Pic from his ride. Then a visit to Canepa, my dad drove the 360 and I was on the Duc. Unfortunately not. My buddies car. Fresh windows out respray (clear coat failure) of the original Lemans Blue and reconditioning of the caramel interior. My favorite spec. Should have bought an M5 instead of the E30 M3 I have now. If I can sell it, I may look into an E39.
Hello from sometimes sunny Melbourne, Australia. But it does rain a bit which reminds me I need to fix my window seals but that's another post
I wasn't completely sold on this color when I bought the car, but after new PPF and a paint correction/ceramic coating....IM SOLD Can't wait to get it out once the coating cures Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don’t love it is the issue. It’s so pretty (unlike the modern abominations from BMW), quickened up the steering with a Z3 2.7 turn rack, lowered it on coilovers. Better but the S14 is just too slow. If I lived in the canyons, it would be great. Middle of a big city with straight highways…not so much. Think a motor swap would be just the thing (ideally an S62), but I’m done throwing money at it hoping I’ll eventually love it.
i hear you, i was pretty much in the same boat. If I kept it, it was going to get an S54. For where I live, it's too slow to be fun.
Yes, the S54 is lovely! I miss my e39 M5 too.. I’m actually probably buying it back by the end of the year. Got in touch with the new owner and immediately fell in love again… Image Unavailable, Please Login
The E39 M5 is a lovely car. Had one when it was a year old, its a car that sold itself on the test drive. I have always had a BMW by the Rarri's side, current one is an M4 comp! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I also miss my phoenix e46 m3, such a good car (once you put suspension on it) the 430 helps all those "missed" feelings
Lot of love for the E39 here, nice! 2 great cars from the same era. Here's my daily, life's too short to drive boring cars Image Unavailable, Please Login
