    Hi

I just bought a 550. There are some slight vibrations, mostly in the stick, when I go over 5000 rpm. Should I expect 0 vibrations what so ever? Does it mean that engine mounts and/or shaft mounts rubbers will likely need to be replaced soon? I don't have a baseline and do not know what to expect.

With no basis for comparison you need someone very familiar with 550s to drive the car.

I’ve heard that trans mounts are a common wear item on this platform. How many miles on the car?

I've seen the bushings on the bottom of the shaft turret wear over the years, which can allow some radial movement in the shaft, which is felt as vibrations at higher revs.

Part 26 can wear, which allows radial movement in Part 20:

Earlier cars got sold bushings rather than linear bearings. Both will wear eventually.

The car is from 2000 with 53000 km.
The vibration is not generally felt in the car / chassis, only in the stick above 5k rpm.
I also noticed this week that i feel a much stronger high-frequency vibration in the clutch pedal (so in my left foot), when i engage the pedal and rev the engine (also not necessarily at high rpm). Think when rev-matching while shifting gear.
The car had never changed engine and/or shaft mounts, but it could also be bearings in the later case?
I'm not suggesting the two vibrations are connected btw.
