Ripe for the right collector who understands the rarity and what went into this vehicle. At 80,720 miles, this no-accident car (s/n 76719) recently received a fresh engine-out major service and extensive additional work, including:
    • Complete top-end rebuild with all new valves, guides, springs, seals, head gaskets, and cam seals
    • Valve adjustment
    • New water pump and hoses
    • New motor mounts
    • New filters, spark plugs, and fuel pump
    • New oil cooler lines
    • New front and rear crank seals
    • New clutch assembly and slave cylinder
    • New Pilot tires and wheels
    • Much more
All work including the repaint was performed at EMC in Arizona. The receipts that I have for this work (excluding the cost of the repaint) is $50,120.50. The car runs great and straight, the A/C blows cold, and there are no engine or fluid leaks. I’ve driven it 510 miles since the restoration. Paint wise, it has only one very small scratch on the driver's side mirror. The interior is in excellent condition. Original radio and the power roof functions (tested at purchase, though I haven’t used it since). Wanting to go back to a 360 is why I'm selling this car.

With all the recent work completed, the car should be essentially maintenance-free until its next scheduled oil change and belt service.

    Negatives / Disclosures:
    1. Wanting to see if the car would pass smog, I had it tested, it did not pass Arizona smog. I have not investigated the cause.
    2. No tools or spare tire.
    3. Prior maintenance records are not in my possession, though I may have a local lead on them.
    4. Small plastic trim piece at the front of the driver’s side window is cracked.
    5. A/C works well, but heat requires manual switching under the hood (thanks to @Alden here for the explanation).
    6. Carfax shows a DMV odometer issue dated 1/3/2000. I have to believe that the stated mileage is accurate.
I believe my asking $65K is quite fair for this car given the resto work that has gone into it. That’s the full picture, nothing hidden as I wanted to be fully transparent. Feel free to PM me for details and enjoy the pics below!

Thank you Larry. This car is a decent testimonial to what’s really needed when an average, OK running $30K~$35k Mondial really needs to bring it up to snuff, it gets pricey! The $64K question is will I be crying in my beer 4-5 years from now after selling it (as I’ve done with my last four Ferrari’s! …………., OK, maybe a light sob with the 360 as the F1 did not float my boat but that TDFB / Tan sure was Purdy!).

I'm going to have a very pretty blue with cuio 360 spider 6 speed conversion car for sale in about a month if you haven't found your next car yet. Really nice well maintained car. Been friends with the last two owners

Car presents very well and is a gorgeous example, Pete. GLWS. Someone is going to be very happy with this car.
As the old saying goes....."if you can't afford a great Ferrari, you can't afford a cheap Ferrari".
I saw some of the resto work at EMC. No expense spared and everything done right. A beautiful and well sorted car.

Thank you Mike. Funny was when I was asking Klarissa about the repaint the shop did during the resto. I asked "The repaint, what, $8K ~ $10K"? She giggled and said it was probably well more than that citing it was a hood, doors, etc., etc, off for that job. Because of this particular spec, Steve put a lot of heart into the work. I guess that's what you would expect from a judge.

Not sure. Back to NY to visit family sometime first, as soon as they tell me a good time to visit.

Then looking at exploring Texas some and maybe Colorado/New Mexico.

Somebody is going to get an amazing Mondial here. I was one of the previous owners, 2 owners ago. This car was minty when I had it and is even more minty now. If Steve at EMC put his hands on it, and he did you are guaranteed a winner.
Somebody please buy this thing before I put myself in a divorce situation and try to get it back.

i'd make her a priority if she only was a cab.!

i've been thru a Maserati granturismo and currently a '23 MB c300 cab since i was hunting for a nice Mondial.

let a nice '86 Mondial cab. get thru my fingers in the Spring. just south of Pittsburgh.

the only Mondial i've heard of in these parts.

Forget the cab! Coupes are rare in comparison and this one is even rarer in that it's damn near perfect. Seriously cabs are overrated.

One of 'Life's Things' just came up to where I may need to take a substantial haircut on my car. If interested, please shoot me a PM but only interested buyers who are in a position to pull the trigger. The window on my end is 7-10 days.
