Enjoy it! Happy to hear you got everything resolved. Now it's time to enjoy enjoy enjoy!
I did contact Ferrari customer service in NJ A representative called me back a few times but they did not do anything to convince the dealer to have a fair and satisfactory solution for My F8 spider problems
Great News. To be fair - you are the first owner of the 2025 and drove it 2600 in one month? My new means - from factory miles to you - or used but new to you. Mine has been perfection - just wondering if you bought it used and if there is a service history.
I am so happy to hear that it was all resolved . I just got a new 2025 296 GTS and have had engine failure light come on repeatedly and took it to dealer 3x . First 2 times they got some codes from Italy and it fixed it for a week then engine failure might recurred . So now it’s at dealership in Long Island and they said they will have to keep it until it gets resolved and often they go back and forth many times downloading multiple codes / software to get it resolved . It’s very disappointing for a new car I have less than 200 miles . I do love driving it and it looks amazing but to have these issues is a big problem - it’s a dealership more than it’s been with me. Any thoughts !
this is absolutely terrible indeed and they’ll have to give you a solution asap. As I understand it if they can’t fix it within a month, they’ll need to buy it back from you. Others pls comment if this is true or not. question for you: any mods at all? This is the top drama queen of all time. also very sensitive to putting any OBD sensors, dash cams, etc.
Once it gets sorted out you will enjoy. These are very complicated cars. Once it gets past the teething phase it will be a joy.
I've been considering trading my 488 Spider in for a 296 GTs, but I'm having second thoughts. The 296 resale price is falling like nothing else. Are people worried about the reliability of the 296?
I’d be more worried about a 488. I have heard there are issues with the reliability of the turbos. The 296 has been fine and has warranty coverage.
From the desk of Ms. Leticia James: https://ag.ny.gov/publications/new-yorks-lemon-laws Cars covered by the law The law covers a car if it meets all of the following: The car was purchased, leased, or transferred within the earlier of 18,000 miles or two years from the date of original delivery. It was either purchased, leased, or transferred in New York State or is presently registered in the state. It is used primarily for personal purposes. Duty to repair A reasonable chance for a manufacturer or its authorized agent to repair a problem for a new car is considered to be either of the following: There have been four or more attempts to repair the car and the problem continues to exist. The car is out of service by reason of repair of one or more problems for a cumulative total of at least 30 days.
Ferrari have never been bullet proof, there have always been some reliability issues... my feeling is that with the hybrid models, the issues may not be more frequent but the complexity of the cars makes them more difficult to understand and fix - which could result in longer unavailability. This seems to be a common trend for recent cars anyway. On older cars the fixing was always relatively easy, although it could be expensive... Btw, my 488 is almost 10 years old and has not (yet?) blown a turbo in spite of being occasionnally tracked.
My 812 GTS and F8T (almost 5 yrs and 25k miles between both), never gave me any serious issue at all. The 812 actually... ZERO issues. I found them both as reliable as can be, tbh, and tracked them both a few times too! So I changed my mind about Ferrari's reliability issues at least for the more modern ones. You do need to baby them and most importantly, change oil every year. Agree on the hybrids. BTW I hear the 911 GTS t-hybrid is having all sorts of issues too. So it's not just Ferrari. And I have to report that my 296 GTS (now at 6800 miles, bought in Feb'25 with 1k miles) has given me zero issues related to battery - but the turbo hose did crack and put me on limp mode back at the 3k miles mark. Covered by warranty and never had any other issue.
