Affirmative, Wil seems to do the best conversions and he uses OEM and Robin's parts.

people are going to start to think he has me on payroll, but after all I have seen I am convinced that for aftermarket Robin is the absolute man! The only non-OEM in my conversion is his shift lever, and it is clearly made to a very high standard and to be honest really improved the shift feel.

In the US, exoticcar in NJ uses Robins kit.

If you are on the West coast, Damian Forbes at FMS Socal, just outside of LA, also uses Robin's kit with incredible results... Cannot recommend Damian or Out of the Gate more highly for a 575 conversion (or anything else your Ferrari or other exotic may need.) Damian is the absolute master tech.

I know the subtitles showed 550 Maranellos, but half the photos were 575Ms, but I could not bear to listen to it, either.

I took one for the team and listened on my run yesterday afternoon…VERY favorable re: well-kept F1 AND converted examples of the 575. Also expecting continued 550 growth.

Take it however you will considering the source.

Yup, both models used in the movie. Must have bent one of them during filming.

Back then they were both cheap. I helped a dealer in Albuquerque sell a salvage 550 rebuilt to a very high standard (looked great everywhere to me and drove great) for $50,000 back then. Took about 20 minutes for an FChatter to snap her up. Was tempted myself except she was black (sorry, Nero Daytona Maranello owners, no offense, but do not like black on any car, wheels either).

Mr C.- Thanks, hurt my back a while back and my pain tolerance is down quite a bit, so appreciate you listening. Mine was only about 4 1/2-years old when I bought her (Nov 03-Jul 08) and quite expensive then ($141K less a 537-mile 08 C6 Z06 for which I got a really good trade value). Boardwalk really wanted to make that deal.

Many years ago, I read that Will Smith opened the driver's side door in front of another moving car or opened the driver's side door while moving and hit a lamp post. (Too lazy to look for the report.)

I dunno, I’m pretty uninterested in Diablos…but that’s me. That was a real “don’t meet your heroes” moment in my life :D

    That yellow barchetta, though…!!!!!!!

While prevalent... never said the Diablos were the highlight either. Although they were each all some sort of pedigree or significant, and not just a mere Diablo

Each his own. I love my 6.0. Nick it should be back to me from Steve by spring next year after it’s refresh is complete. Me being me, I have several mods planned, including OEM LP670 forged wheels, custom muffler delete > Murci Roadster tips, custom CF engine cover with OEM correct 6.0 GT plate (final design pending, along with blue weave carbon finishing).

One drive in a Diablo is all most people need! (its not just you!) For me, they are better as art than as a driven car. And the 6.0 IS really pretty.

I have a picture somewhere (not digital) of me in Monaco following Schumacher in his white EB-110 around the circuit the Thursday before the F1 race! I will try to find it! I love those cars too, and in person they are special!

To be fair different diablo's drive VERY differently. Bigger than the difference between a 550/575/456GT/456M IMHO; Which did you play with?

Early 2WD drive cars feel very "F40" while the 6.0 feels much more like a lightweight Murci. The suspension + steering + braking redesign did wonders to freshen the platform.

The main issues I have with it are the fragile (due to age/time) magnesium wheels and heavy/quiet exhaust tone hence...

Street: VT Roadster an early base/1st release coupe
Track: GTR, GTR Twin Turbo and a S/C VT

    The track GTR was amazing.

I also have time in an F40, and none of the Diablos felt like that. The F40 is a god among cars IMHO!

The street cars left me wanting sadly. Nothing like the experience from a Murcie for example (which is the pinnacle of Lamborghini for me, so everything else is a comparison to that!)

Sounds like I might like a 6.0 from your experience. As gated Murcies are now WAY out of my financial means, I may have to take a look!

My first gen Diablo is far more rewarding to the eyes and to drive than my 550 or 599. No contest. Driving it from NYC to LA casually in 40 hrs remains a life highlight.

I'm a bit biased to the red/gold car on the lift. The one I had was black/gold.... wish I still had that car!!

I think you really would like the 6.0 as it's very early manual Murci in driving dynamics but with slightly better brakes (they are actually the same brakes, just in a lighter car). The steering feel/suspension/etc is all very similar. The LP640 is a different beast given focus on cranking up the power so its a step in different direction.

The widened and re-designed front track/suspension is what makes the 6.0 drive so different vs its VT siblings.

I should clarify I mean "F40ish" in the sense of very stripped down, late 80s Italian build, not the punch in your face turbo or steering feel/balance.

Caveat when you drive it make sure its a sorted/maintained example...Too many 6.0s are running around on 'vintage' Pirelli bricks. I am trying to source a set of Continental Force tires for my car made in 2025. Two fronts to go...
