I meant replacing Lance with Leclerc and keeping Alonso even though he’s ancient.

If Red Bull is going to partner Hadjar with Max, they should do it starting in the new season with the new cars. It would only waste and demoralize him to put him in the current RB.

Villeneueve with an actual racers view. As if any driver is perfect. Remember Vettel sliding and losing a race. World turns.

—The 1997 F1 champion Villeneuve has a reputation for his no-nonsense analysis and brutal honesty of today’s drivers and racing.
But he saw no reason to lambast Lewis Hamilton for his first DNF in Ferrari colours.

Hamilton lost control at Turn 3 at Zandvoort and went into the barriers at low speed, but it was enough to prematurely end his race.

But Villeneuve noted the slightly wet conditions and refused to be too critical.

“It’s so easy to make,” Villeneuve told Sky Sports about Hamilton’s mistake.

“When it drizzles, you just never know when it will be one drop too much.

“We have all been caught out.

“When you drive in the dry, you drive as you normally drive. Suddenly you slide.
“The way he slid, you could tell it was just a sudden lack of grip.

A bit of wet on the paint, and he got caught out. Not by much.

“He just glanced the tyre barrier… and that was it.”

You don't have to be Jacques Villenueve to have noted the wet weather. We all have eyes and the water was on all the cameras, onboards, side of the track. Everyone and their dog knows water, paint and rubber don't mix very well.

It wasn't like this weather was sudden so A) your Vettel comparison is irrelevant and B) Vettel is vilified to this day for what happened in Germany 2018

Ferrari is not on point with race strategy and forces Leclerc, with the pit wall, into a double stop. The Monegasque preferred to continue, convinced he could have finished the race differently.

    https://www.funoanalisitecnica.com/2025/09/f1-ferrari-leclerc-un-sosta.html

    Prior to the incident:

Bryan: "Do you mean to stay out?"
Charles: "Yeah let‘s stay out, let‘s try."
Bryan: "Box, Charles, box, we want to try to cover Antonelli."

Obviously doesn't excuse Antonelli's error but still explains why Charles responded that he felt like the tyres felt good.

Charles is too nice, he is wasting some of his best years at Ferrari. I think that he would thrive at Mercedes.

I've said it many, many times before but if Charles feels like he should stay out (or indeed come in) he should assert that feeling. If the idiots at the pit wall call him in, it doesn't matter, he is in the one in control of the car and he decides if he drives it into the pitlane or not.

If he makes the right call and claims more points, the team will listen to him more. But it's been like this since day 1, he disagrees with the team, then follows their order immediately anyways, and sulks after.

If he wants to succeed in this game, especially with Ferrari, asserting dominance is the only way to do it.

Leclerc vs Piastri same corner same track in 2023 versus Leclerc vs Russell 2025 in the same corner same track. One leaves room while the other doesn't.

George : « I don't think I've ever seen someone try to overtake on the outside of that corner. I didn't push him onto the gravel, I was just following my line. It’s clear for me: it wasn't an aggressive overtake, but an off-track overtake. »

At the moment, being promoted to Red Bull is like being offered a poison chalice: it will damage your career.

The present broadcasted radio communications pushes drivers to report alleged impediments, incidents, perceived bad driving and off-course excursions to their team. So it goes on record and the stewards are expected to act if the rules are not respected, which they don't do as a matter of course. Like Carlos Sainz, George Russell is a director of the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers Association), working with the officials to see the rules being observed, and penalties applied. I think drivers use their radio as another weapon, some more than others, of course, to complain about other competitors and draw attention to them. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't, but that doesn't improve their popularity in most case. I cannot understand why the teams themselves don't impose communication discipline to their drivers, and stop them being bitchy at times.

Yet when speaking with the Stewards both agreed it was a racing incident. Thats the only input that matters. I can see it both ways and just looking at the pic one is very much on track and the other is off for the most part. Had LH done this on Charles one can imagine the 4 year old school girl screams from this forum.

off track, crashed with Russell. Autosport: "Great overtake, overtake off the season?"

replace Max with Leclerc and they'd be demanding his head and race bans lol.
