I’ve just been informed that I have to attend this Sundays Patriots game against the Raiders. Short notice, especially considering I’m coming from Dallas. I’ll fly in Saturday, hope to fly back Sunday night. Airport choices are Boston or Providence. Both will require a connecting flight home. Last flights out are 7:15-7:30. Game is at 1:00. I’m looking for the path of least resistance. I’ll have tickets in a suite with the appropriate parking.

Options are fly into BOS, rent a car and drive towards Foxboro. Stay close-ish, leave early Sunday for the game, park in my designated lot, leave the game at ??? O’clock, drive back to BOS and fly home. My concern is that I’ve heard that getting out of the stadium after the game is a nightmare and I’ll have +/- 3 hours to make my flight. Same issue if I fly out of PVD.i was in the area last week, left Lincoln RI at 1:00 for a 4pm flight out of BOS and nearly missed it because of Boston traffic.

Other option is ride the train to/from either place? Stay near the station in Boston or Providence. Uber to the airport at each end.

Would appreciate thoughts from those with experience, I really don’t want to spend 2 nights.

I ride the train from Boston. They have a special event train but still run other trains approximately by the hour to and from Boston. Do not know much about the Providence train.

From South Station, just take the silver line to the airport.

I have driven before, come early and leave before the end of the game. I think stadium parking is free now. Used to have to pay during the Brady era.

My preference is the train. The silver line (T train) is free from the airport. You can buy the Foxboro commuter rail ticket on the MBTA app or at South Station.

I'll be sitting in section 112. See you there.

I agree with Charlie. I think the train is your best option considering you'll have only 3 hours to get to either airport. Getting out in a car, rental or Uber, will be a nightmare.

Hopefully it is a Pats blowout and you can leave at the end of the 3rd quarter! :D

No words to express how relieved I am that on Friday I was able to cancel this excursion. I have a disappointed client that I’ll make it up to at a future game. Very long story, but it wound up being 3 of us in a 24 person suite. On my cost centers tab. Um, no.

Thanks for all the advice, I’ll use it next time.

Just an f.y.i., most may already know, but for those who don't, the airport in Rhode Island is actually in the city of Warwick which is 2 cities south of Providence. I don't know why they refer to it as Providence, when you land they even announce welcome to Providence but you are not in Providence you are in Warwick.
