I have Giulio Cabianca in this race, giro di Calabria, but I don't know which model. Maybe not a Ferrari??? and.
Cabianca raced an Osca. Pucci’s Scaglietti spyder was not 0528MD but a large side vent Scaglietti spyder which could be 0534MD or another car restamped 0534MD…
Do we agree that Pucci raced 0534MD, a large side vent prototype with side vent located lower than on later cars built using a wooden buck? The small lip, or low fariging around wind screen is also unusual on this particular car.
Yes, a prototype… … or a Scaglietti spyder in 056xMD range restamped 0534MD, who knows ? Anyway your theory of this car being a prototype for the large side vents series is just brillant !
It's pretty straight forward as we know that the wooden buck was already in use by May - Ascari's fatal 0562M crashed on 26.5.55 already had a standard production side vent. Timing for serial number 0534MD having been built only weeks earlier is just perfect.

I raced there, in much more humble machinery, 80 laps of Oulton is a lot, plenty of time and strain for things to fail.

4 September 1955, Kilomètre lancé d'Eaumorte, Switzerland Image Unavailable, Please Login #49 212 Export Touring Barchetta 0158ED Edouard Margairaz 1st in class I don't know if it was 1955 or 1956 though.
That's what I was afraid of. I have a lot of photos of races in Switzerland, but everything is mixed up, the races and the years (1955 or 1956). Thanks for the correction anyway !
AFAIK Edouard Margairaz had race number 49 at the 1955 Kilomètre lancée d'Eaux-Mortes and race number 48 at the 1956 Course de Côte de Verbois.
My notes also list the following entries: #15 0446 MD (0556 MD) André Canonica (average 146.103 kph) #?? 0486 M Jacques Jonneret (average 140.1 kph) but this is highly questionable, especially Jonneret is probably the 1956 event.
1955 Ferrari Yearbook gives André Canonica 1st (overall apparently). Also lists Jacques Jonneret 2nd (overall ?). About Jonneret, the 1955 Ferrari Yearbook was probably printed before the 1956 event...
