Hello Gents. I've been doing lots of work to my 89 Testarossa lately but wanted to share this with you real quick. Most owners know that the locking tangs on the taillight bulb holders get brittle with age and break off. Some of you may know that a simple 3D-printed part can offer an effective repair. My good friend recently downloaded the required STL file...

    https://www.stlfinder.com/model/snap-in-ring-for-ferrari-testarossa-rear-bulb-holder-sNsc72Tz/172205

... and printed me a dozen of these rings. I installed one today and am happy to say that my problem has been solved. Here are some pics. I glued the ring in with 6-min epoxy. Cheers!

Very good idea and fix. Much better that the really awful replacement sockets that were around.

Download the file and have them printed.

Online platforms - Xometry, Protolabs Network (Hubs), Dassault Systèmes Make, or services like FATHOM and Sculpteo by uploading your 3D CAD file to their websites for an instant quote.

All, thank you for replying. I'm arranging to have another batch of these made-up. I'll be happy to mail a few to any of you that need them, free of charge. Just PM me with your request. Continental U.S. only, please. It may be a few days before I am restocked. I'm always happy to help fellow FChatters!

Dinner is served! Metaphorically speaking, of course. @Rifledriver your first batch is on the way and the 2nd will follow soon after. For the others, just PM me with your preferred mailing address and desired quantity. Please take only what you need. I'm not selling these...they are free. I'm not the one who designed them and each one only costs pennies to make. Shipping is cheap.

Ok, no problem. It is much appreciated. Shipping for the two packages is about $6 total. And maybe $2 for materials. My return address will be on the packages and my email is inside. Snail mail, Pay-Pal, Zelle, Venmo are all equally good. I would appreciate your feedback on the parts. We can probably make improvements to the design, if warranted. Thanks, Brian.

WOW- what an incredibly kind thing for you to do. Some times we need to see things like this to make us not think that all of humanity has gone over the edge.
I have three Testrossa's but certainly won't request these unless I need one. Save them for people that need them- THANK YOU for doing this.

I have a pretty complete machine shop, and a 3D printer certainly seems like a fun thing to add to my mix. Technology is amazing. A fellow machine shop owner just bought a printer that does TITANIUM- wow!
