I'm relatively new to Ferrari Lake Forest. Bought my 296GTB from Tyler Dean. Now I have an order in for a 12 cilindri. Tyler is a great guy to work with. Knows everything about everything Ferrari. Honest advise about best way to option a car. Owen in service is equally good. The dealer's social events are fun. So, my experiences so far have been 5 star.

I have a deposit made for an Amalfi and would echo the points of how good Mr. Dean is to work with.
In addition, Ferrari FNA was super responsive when I had a question about the deposit amount, including giving me a call to welcome me to the family and to cover my question.
And I received an email from Mr. Galliera, the Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer and informed me that I can start using the owner's App.

The entire crew at LFSC has always treated me well. I always enjoy my interactions with their team and trust the things they tell me. Granted, my experience is an N of 1. All that being said, I am definitely a fan of the dealership!

This is a thing now? Always used to stop by the Ferrari dealer in any new city I visited that had one, but I guess it’s been about 2 years since I’ve done so.

I remember seeing that sign and thought to myself it seemed a bit snobby when I tried to visit while doing the Fchat $10 trillion dollar thing. I thought about asking to get inside since it was for Ferrari related reasons, but I was pretty turned off by it and didn't even bother.

I would think that you would want to inspire people to work to acquire a Ferrari. Or inspire the kids whose parents take them there to grow and become something. Every kid I meet that likes my car I offer to let sit in it, in hopes of inspiring them. Seems like I may be in the minority thinking that way.

Meanwhile the twin cities Ferrari place always welcomed me as soon as i stepped in. The salesman even remembered me 8 months later despite only meeting me once after I stopped by to get my Ferrari app working.

How snooty. I've been by both (LFSC about 5 years ago, and Continental several times over the years), everybody was welcoming and friendly. I wonder if they offer "same day appointments", lol - can I call from the parking lot? Do people call and make an appointment to have a peek around, is that possible?

Right. I mean I get they want to keep the riff-raff out, but ever since I was 14 or so, stopping by my dream-car dealers fanned the enthusiast flame in me. I have a lot of anecdotal experiences that were pretty great, talking to salespeople, sitting in the odd car (always politely asked first), collecting brochures, etc., but most often it was having a quick look around and taking a few pics, just being an aspiring owner/enthusiast. Kind of thought that's how most future owners started? Guess they don't want to cultivate that anymore. Except maybe by appointment.

Nope. But Ferrari in general seems less focused on that and more focused on appealing to the designer handbag crowd.

And I feel that I should mention that while I think that the appointment only policy is kinda snobby, every time I have been to LFSC, the staff was always very friendly to me. Even the mechanics were happy to share some cool stories and BS.

I worked in the Lake Forest area for 14 years.
The kind of **** folks that ooz out of Waukegan are just bad for business, so appointment only is the result.
One time I stopped in to LFSC and a bunch of hoodies popped out of a coffee can exhausted econobox, and were wandering around the parking lot
    yapping.
They kept pointing to my NSX, and I was not too comfortable with the situation.
Better that these folks are not made to feel welcome, so the real customers are.

Ferrari dictates the design of dealerships down to paint codes etc, if the public is visiting and causing more problems, then it seems like a simple solution to have a public area with a display car and cheap swag to buy. Ferrari did it to themselves going public, becoming Disney, and making themselves a medium cheap fashion brand. You can't have it both ways.

Well said, and the dealers in the Chicago suburbs do have new Ferrari's outside in front of the dealerships on display during working hours.

Why would we prefer they were stuck doing what Stellantis management said they have to do
Just going by the stock, $50 10 years ago to the $500 range now, can you look in the mirror and say going public was a screw up and that they haven't been able to create value n different ways?

They are hands down a more valuable company than ever on paper, but I would be willing to bet that the majority of people on here feel like the brand is a lot more diluted now than it was years ago.
