Those who insist that F1 is a “team sport” well, this is what comes with that. Sometimes “teamwork” is ugly. McLaren doesn’t care. Their WCC points weren’t affected.
Back to the old normal Powered by Honda P1, 10, 13 (looking forward to no Yuki some day) and 14 No saving the season but a nice moment in La Marzocco land.
It’s a dichotomy. The team prepares the drivers for individual selfish battle. With WDC and Manufacturers points on the line, the team wants to bring both cars home and the drivers would put each other in the wall if they could.
Only one DNF plus one DNS, and no safety cars, proving…again….that fast tracks are not inherently dangerous.
This should be the end of the 'he has been really improving lately' talk from Mekies and others in the team. He is not that good and should not be in the car next year. He had more of a chance than Lawson LOL.
This is a very "McLaren thing", not the first time they do It. You may like it or not, but the cars are theirs.
