The points gap is massive but imagine if end of season Max takes title by a point of Piastri, They'll regret this little move.

    Stranger things have happened.

    Not gonna happen.

But I do hope Piastri wins the title. I'm so over Norris and the Sky commentators. And hate to say it: Now I'm done with Zak Brown as well, whom I considered a great guy until today.

Fair decision by McLaren to swap positions, dont necessarily agree with it but Norris did have the pace over Piastri throughout the race & at the end so.....

Verstappen was on fire and Leclerc / Hamilton were almost there.

Oh don't get me wrong the chance of it happening is absolutely minuscule and In no way do I think it's a realistic scenario.

I like what Piastri said on team radio when he was told to swap positions. He didn't agree with it either but nonetheless obliged the team order.

Perfect team player, he did his career a lot of good today with that attitude. TP's like honourable drivers they can trust to play the long game. Gone are the days when the drivers just went like hell to the finish line without interference.

Huge respect he didnt moan like some of the other sissies.

I like all three. Just because the Skyboys are Norris fanboyz doesn’t make me think any less of him. If there’s anybody I’m not influenced by it’s crofty. Norris had nothing to do with the blown pit stop or the swap call. If Norris were to lose the championship by one point because of the pit cockup that would be no more acceptable. I give Brown credit for making the tough call and taking the heat. Either way he was bound to get blasted. The tire slinger or the guy who mishandled the gun should be fired. Now, if Norris had stalled leaving the pit box or exceeded pit lane speed limits that would be different.

    There's that.

I'm just disappointed and frustrated. And the Skyboys do get on my nerves.

I know this is the best track for the current RB car Max has.... but if he gets a more competitive car henceforth, it could put some spice back in the season!!!!!

Dominant from Max. That was a pleasant surprise!

I don’t understand the McLaren beef on here. What they did was absolutely fair. Norris was due to come in first and agreed to let Piastri come in, in order to help him protect his lead from LeClerc. That’s called good team work. It’s not his fault that the front left jack man had a brain fart and messed up his pit stop, and so the team, fairly, requested Piastri to let him through. Nothing wrong with that.

Let’s also not forget that Lando lost a ton of points last weekend when his engine blew up… that’s also not his fault. So, Lando bashing is just unwarranted IMHO. Equally, McLaren bashing is unwarranted. They are doing a fine job at keeping the playing field as level as they can between their drivers.

Anyway, overall, a boring race. On to the next one.

Lando also lost a lot of points by crashing into his teammate at Montreal, should we have a do over on that one?

sometimes you have a slow pit stop. that’s racing.

It may be so, but it's still a bad show for F1 followers.
I don't know the ins-and outs of that swap, but it stinks. The McLaren pitwall has a lot to answer.
How they can keep a straight face after manipulating the race result ?
I will be disgusted if at the end of the season, Norris is WDC instead of Piastri.
I am fuming. BTW, usually us Brits prefer fairplay to foul play.

That would be so fricking funny.

He's far, far away from the McLaren boys but if Max keeps his regularity and Macca keeps playing these team orders games (specially if they keep trying to benefit their golden boy), a papaya DNF is bound to happen and boy oh boy, Max will be there waiting for it.

Those old enough to remember, or those smart enough to find the videos....... Could you imagine McLaren doing that with Prost and Senna in the 1988 and 1989 seasons?
