Max Verstappen to race in the 9th round of the Nurburgring Endurance Series(NLS) in a Ferrari GT3 this weekend. He can't use the name Franz Hermann since he has his license to race in this particular series. What is everyone else doing? Taking time off? (As that is their prerogative)
In arguably the best car, the best team on the grid BY FAR, when he won his championships. Just like Hamilton. Speaking of which, Hamilton is on a 'B' team today, how's he doing? (LOL) Like so many other WDC's in the past, let's put him (Max) on a 'B' team and see how he does....
Which is what I said when I referred to his championship winning seasons. But he's not in a B car today, either. It's incumbant on him to help make the car faster, the great ones do - or they jump ship to a faster team - OR for more money..
So Lewis Hamilton is included as "a great one" or is he not making his car fast with Ferrari? Or is he over-the-hill?
I guarantee you if Max was in Lewis's Ferrari he'd crush his times and undoubtedly beat Charles as well. His performance in Monza was a direct result of him speaking up and having them set the car to what he thought best.
Agreed, but Ferrari management isn't the new RedBull management. Ferrari management your do as your told and you don't question it EVEN MORE SO IN THE PUBLIC EYE OR EARS.
That's easy to argue. Mercedes had the best car most of 2021. Ferrari had the best car for the first 12 races of 2022. Red Bull absolutely had the best car once TD39 came in late in the season. Red Bull had a dominant car in 2023 yet it never had a speed advantage like the 2014-16 or 2020 Mercedes had. It's not even close. Yet Max won 19 of 22 races. Red Bull had a dominant car at the start of 2024 and then by Miami got overtaken by McLaren who incredibly found 1 second a lap in a couple weeks. Red Bull fell to the 3rd or 4th best car by second half of the season and even while McLaren was undoubtedly the best car, Max still collected the most points. On most days the Red Bull MIGHT be the 4th best car in 2025. If Max wasn't there, it's possibly they would have less points than Sauber or Haas. Yuki has scored 9 points with Red Bull. That's less than 4% of the team's output. With the exception of Alpine where Gasly has 100% of the team's 20 points, Sainz has been the least productive teammate scoring only 18.6% of the team's points this year. Yet Max has 5 poles, 3 wins, and sits 3rd in the WDC with that car. We know Hamilton won with the best car. He had a dominant car in Brazil 2022 and easily the 2nd best car for the last 3rd of 2022. He had the 2nd best car most of the second half of 2023. He had the 2nd best car on average in 2024 and even had the best car multiple times. He has the 3rd best car most of 2025. How many poles and wins does Lewis have in this time?
I honestly do not know but I'll be on the lookout for it. IF not televised, then I'll be on the lookout to post results. .....to be continued.
I love the fact that Max is racing endurance this weekend and that Red Bull is on board with it! Can’t wait to see him in the Ferrari on Sunday. Only wish it was a week from Sunday!
Verstappen now has more wins than any other driver in cars that did not win the constructor's championship. This speaks volumes. https://beyondtheflag.com/max-verstappen-just-broke-schumacher-record-nobody-else-ever-touching-01k4ksr04dx7
