    Definite answer, no.
But...... the best bit of information as told to me was.
The owners pouch on the left is the standard issue, with just the Cavallino and is also found in other models.
The pouch on the right with the winners laurels and the Cavallino, was issued in the years they won the constructors title.
Now, how much truth and accuracy is in that I am not sure. But it sounds good.

A good friend was the 2nd owner of a late 512 BB with a complete set of books including the warranty card. It had the pouch on the right. I believe that this pouch was used for a brief period(perhaps 2 years or less) around 1980.

Right one is found on other models including years when they didn't win the CT.

It seems clear that the pouch on the left side was in use after the one on the right(so 1980-81). Can anyone definitively state that the left pouch was used before 1980 as well? All models used the same pouch in this time frame--even the 288 GTO
    pouch was not unique.

Not necessarily. I have seen original sets with both the burgundy leather and the fabric pouch. Additionally the burgundy pouch is not exclusive to the 288 GTO.

Long ago, I was told by a long-time sale gentleman at the dealership that there was no hard fast rule, and they grabbed whatever they had available. I've seen an unusual pouch that is slightly more gold toned that came with a '81 308 which I have never seen before. Absolutely the same in every other respect.

The Dino's had a few variants as well. Mostly the brown smooth leather with "Dino" script on it. But some had a box around script and others didn't. These were used for Dino 246, and Dino GT4. I have a hunch later Dino GT4's like 1977+ had the pouches shown here ("Gucci" look).

Latter GT4's had the pouch on the right. It's Italstyle, not Gucci.
