    Anybody have a good recommendation in Los Angeles for a company that does new tracks to lift the garage door higher?

    I am adding lifts to the garage, and that company does not have a recommendation.

    I'm in San Diego, so I can't help with recommendations, but it's not that complicated. I had a normal garage door company put in a liftmaster 8500 (i think) jackshaft opener (side lifter thing) and higher tracks for my lift.

    Obviously you can't have the center lifter in the middle if youre trying to lift a car there.

    That is literally all I need to do. Sadly can't seem to find any good garage door companies here in LA.. surprising...


    Also the guys who used to sell the Direct Lift and Champions are only sellling Bendpak

    your garage looks similar to mine, with 5 motorcycles

    Look for a Commercial Garage Door Company. I used Overhead Door Company, they do both Residential and Commercial. Using a Commercial opener does have some down sides.

    lift master side opener and install $1200

    raise tracks = $1400

    Sorry, my quote was for the 2-post Bendpak car lift install. :D

    I don't have the price I paid for the garage door high-lift and jackshaft opener install. It was Door Dorks in San Diego that did it though, and did a decent job.
