Made it up to Dallas. Pretty uneventful drive. Decent weather until the end, not _nice_ but decent. Looking forward to tomorrow! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just a little drizzle here a bit south in Arlington. Should be OK and not nearly as hot as yesterday.
Surprisingly good turnout! More Ferraris this year than last, I think. I waited the rain out a bit but glad to have made it!
The day started off with driving up in the rain. Wife said “Doesn’t this car have wipers? Do they work?” To which I replied, “Of course it does but I don’t know, and I don’t even know how to turn them on!” Ironically, I just replaced the wiper blades yesterday! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login it was a really great turnout. Met a lot of nice folks, a few familiar faces, all from F-Chat. Is really good to see everybody, and meet some new people as well! Strong of it, even with the weather that started the day, but it kept the temperatures down! …. we will see everybody out next month! Steve

We were immediately behind him just after he pulled onto Ball after the show was over, first noticing the twin mud trail and before finishing the comment that it must be the 355, looked up to see that it was - creeping along at about 15 mph (probably to minimize the mud flying). Jen wondered for a moment until I pointed out the clean road ahead of it before the railroad crossing, and said that he was brave for getting into the mud in the first place (she also made that comment while it was still on display). Kudos to him.
It was a good day with many familiar faces. The Ferrari owners stepped up and we had 12 classic and 10 modern cars entered. I think we had about 10 show up, so respect to those who braved the elements and sloppy show field to come out. Who would have guessed that in early September you would need to bring a sweater at the car fest. And the amount of spectators was unexpected as well. The photographs look awesome and thanks to everyone who posted. I'm looking forward to the next show. Jeff B.
Let me also say congrats to our show winners. They were: Classic Ferrari class: first place - Corey Richards and his 365 GTB, second place - William Sendleback and his Mondail QV Modern Ferrari class: first place - J. Rodrigues and his 488 GTB, second place Anthony Valenti and his Roma Mayor's Choice for best 308 goes to Rob Lay (correct me if I got that wrong, it's been a few days) Best of Show: Cory Richards and the Ferrari GTB Thanks everyone for an outstanding event. Jeff Briggs
This award went to me, Robert Cope. No idea what criteria was used for this selection, all the 308s present were great in their own ways. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The confusion was that the mayor just took a photo of the display card on the windshield. It just said Rob.
