Dudes, you may like or dislike what you want, but those of you who say "I don´t want a car that others think is ugly" really need to set straight your priorities. Who ****ing cares about what the majority likes? Art is not a democracy, if you´re the only one who likes it already is enough.

Jeez. Did you let your mama choose your wife?

For sure. Buy what you like. If you care about other peoples' opinions in life you'll be miserable.

Heck, look at all the people buying BMWs these days despite how they look.

I am 100% with you. I’ve owned over 20 Ferraris. And I’m just out for now. I don’t know what they are doing. I do know I don’t like any of the last four or five cars.

I’m getting my Sonderwunch Boxster Spider RS next month. Then Mustang GTD. And I have two Gordon Murray cars on order. And I’m at the top of the list for a Gordon Murray custom car. I don’t ever need to buy another Ferrari again. They’re going to have to really wow me with something truly beautiful to get me back.

Very interesting comments here. I've had 2 SF90s' which looks way better. From the photos I dont like the way this looks, but I want to see if on the road. I'm not dying to order one, but if I do it would be a spider in a darker color.

Dust has settled… it’s an abomination! So bad it’s taken me off Ferrari Chat. Been a serial Ferrari buyer since 1994, some great cars in there, and went all the way to SF90 with AF, even though I knew I was going to be a Guinea pig for this new Hybrid, happy to do it as Ferrari had been great to me. SF90 only with AF was a great car actually, but too many trips in early hours in Scottish highlands to extract that crazy power became addictive, then I let the ‘what if a deer popped out here” into my brain, and I was done. Took the hit and have gone back to buy some of my previous Ferraris. Happy with the F12 & 458 Speciale, and that will be it for Ferrari for me. Ever since L de M left and then binning Pininfarina for in-house and going Public, has been a watershed moment for me. Manzoni and his Studio should be walked out the building immediately. What they have produced is shocking, ending with this horrendous design and ridiculous name. I only met him once for a good chat, and his arrogance was pouring out of his suit, this guy needs a proper dressing down and shown the door. Ferrari is becoming a joke brand.
Ciao forum, it’s been a really enjoyable and knowledgeable 5 years, some very passionate views here, great advice on car setup and thanks @day355 for all your leaks, really helped. Wish you all the best. @U-Boat Commander you get my last like! Ciao Ferrari, you sold out.

I'm sure the XM designers felt likewise.

Oh what artists they were focusing on attention and controversy instead of actual beauty. I'm sure they're thriving as we speak.

thought it felt very Atari and I love it.
Yep, ugly car. In fact, no attractive BMWs in current line up. Gaudy and garish.

Point wasn't that all cars that drive controversy are great. It's that some cars/art that drives controversy later become widely recognized as being great.

I'm on my second one, I lease them through my Business, very good daily as long as it is the M850i GC, the M8 is just too stiff.

I love the Ferrari brand. I own a F355 spider. I used to own a 488 spider but traded it for a Huracan Evo spyder. It's clear to me now that Ferrari, and most other exotic car manufacturers, no longer understand car enthusiasts. The 849 Testarossa is a perfect example of this. Literally all that Ferrari, or any other exotic car manufacturer, needs to do is build a car that looks decent and has a V8, V10, or V12 naturally aspirated engine, a loud exhaust, and a gated stick shift. They are chasing .1 seconds of 0-60 improvements when true car enthusiasts don't really care about that. Get a Tesla if that is the most important thing to you. Any modern supercar is already too fast for public roads. They all accelerate within 3 seconds. They all have top speeds around 200 mph. They all can take corners like they are on rails. What they don't all have, and what we want, is an exotic looking, amazing sounding, and engaging (i.e. manual transmission) car. Or any two of those three characteristics. Only a few modern supercars have this now, for example, the Huracan, GT3, 812. All of these cars are still very popular and will become even more such given the new hybrid / turbo options like the 849. When will the manufacturers give us what we want in a new supercar?

People buy BMWs because…they are BMWs. People buy Ferraris because…they are Ferraris. Some people have taste and are discerning who buy beauty and performance as a package. Others buy jarring in your face ugly as sin design and they don’t care. Vive la difference!
Ferrari has had ugly cars in the past and they happen to have hit a really, Really, REALLY rough patch now. I too am sitting this one out as I cannot fathom what they were thinking when they put this monstrosity out there. Sadly, the King no longer has any clothes

    Yuck.

Ferraris used to be beautiful with the odd one just being ok. Now half of them are just ok and this thing is downright ugly. They need to call pininfarina and mend whatever broke there.

I did not misquote you. I quoted another member who mentioned the Corvette and replied to him in the same post. My reply to you was this part:
"Looks are subjective and sound is regulated by legislation. Unlike women though, a car can excite you even if you don't like its looks, as driving is the most important factor. You can not see the outside of a car when you drive it anyway..."

What you are saying is just a matter of personal opinion. Others might think differently about the design. All I am saying is that everyone has their own opinion and what matters to the driver is how the car drives. The way it looks won't make it better or worse on the road.

Don’t like it, don’t like it ad Infinitum. Hell needs to freeze over for time to do its thing.
The only part I like is the rear which is usually a Manzoni weak spot (one of many)

Allow me to share a very sage wisdom here

Watching porn muted is very different from when the sound is on.

Watching ugly woman porn muted is just so not ideal, but hey if the situation commands it and if it works, it still works.

To me I need to see this thing in person. I have learned whatever I thought is nice in picture can be very different in real life, or vice versa. So I am not decided yet.

Resellers…if majority don’t like it, values go down.

After day 2, I like it but has to be in Grigio something

I find Ferraris always look better in person vs pictures. Getting a sense for the low, wide stance and presence makes all the difference. This car has brutalist 70s sports prototype with futuristic vibes. I really dig it and like that it’s out there and jarring (I don’t want my 1000+ hp monster blending in). I get tired of all the amorphous blobs that eventually all look the same. McLarens and Porsches just don’t seem to take edgy stances and try bold new things. Heck Lamborghini doesn’t really either. Same angular jet fighter ethos with them. This one stands out, is bold, and makes no apologies. I’m all for it!
