The 849 may be the ugliest Ferrari ever built.
Lol I'm the guy that posted the leaked PDF from my dealer with the pricing. This forum is full of characters..
whoever designed that needs to be fired. it is an abomination that only real emotional justification can forgive. it is a real WTF moment for sure. the ferrari brass really need to get out more and stopping hanging out together all the time. i'm skipping the speciale and waiting for the modificata. by the time that gets in my depreciation will have leveled off and my keeping it will be justified.
Not me. Like the 296 design more. And someone was saying the price was more for the VS; way off. VS has many more standard equipment and is still 50K less.
Better is subjective, but there are lots of compelling arguments to support your statement. But I don't see a need to declare a winner. They're both fantastic, they both embody what a Ferrari should be (at least to me), and they achieve it different ways. I think that's a good thing.
If the Pista sounded as good as the 296, it'd the the one to pick. Hoping the 296S captures that spirit with the sound included.
Me too, it's what I'm going with I think. I'm not sure which red that is, maybe Rosso Portofino because the same spec is on the configurator as a preset. For the roof I'll leave it body colored, if I wanted it black at any point then black PPF is abundant and it's impossible to tell.
I disagree, Pista is much more hardcore. Gear changes, exhaust sound when you take your foot off the trottle, and acceleration feel much more authentic. With the 296, it feels too perfect, almost boring. Something you're only feel with the Porsche Turbo S.
What exactly does "authentic" acceleration entail? 296 feels pretty wild and natural to me. I love it.
It doesn't make you "work for it" the way an NA engine does. The torque is just always there. I find that's a good thing or a bad thing, depending on my mood. So, ideally, you have one of each. It is more linear than a non-hybrid turbo, which I like.
I agree, the 296 drives like an ICE car. More NA than turbo even. Faster, but as silver always said, it reminds me of my (458) speciale.
How is a Pista (turbo charged) an authentic engine (whatever that is)? A Pista is turbo charged. It doesn’t even sound authentic. The power curve is not linear. How is that authentic? The Pista is great and it’s authentically inferior to a 296.
