You dont now the numbers and the demand on the market but you see that nobody buy a 296 and call the other a joke. You only hope that its not the case that a Aperta will drop.

I don’t really care if it drops. I doubt it will. The V6 is much more dynamic than the current v8. Couldn’t care less about 2 cylinders. It sounds closer to having 12, and responds similarly. And sounds better than the v8, 100%.

not a chance this drops in value. this isn't 2015. Ferrari leveled up as should be obvious to anyone paying attention.

Because too many cars are being built compared to the Pista and 458 Speciale, and because it has a V6 engine.

Did you talk to your GM about the numbers? I did. Others did as well. As of now, you’re wrong. Look back at previous posts. Like I said, the v6 is better than the v8. So obvious.

I'm not drawn to the jet canopy motif myself. I don't think the black roof looks bad on the 296, I think the car looks great either way. But personally, I prefer the roof in body color.

Introducing a different color for the roof? I'm not sure. Sounds strange, but doesnt mean it wouldn't work. I'd have to see it, I can't picture it.

At the end of the day, though, who cares what we think? Do what you like!

    I didn't ask and don't plan to.

A number of people here have, however. It sounds like Speciale allocations are in line with the Pista allocations they received. Which is not a small number. Not a big number either.

It was said here in the chat that there will be significantly fewer 296 Speciale Apertas than 488 Pista Spiders, and that is incorrect.

One of my favorite sf90 specs I’ve seen was Rosso fiorano with a silver roof. It was different and very cool. Will try it out and see. Sometimes trying to be different for the sake of it bites you in the rear.

I have heard from a handful of people that their dealers got roughly the same number of total allocations, plus or minus one or two. Within that, fewer Speciale A allocations than Pista Spiders, and commensurately more coupes. I believe that's all that's been asserted.

Around 1:57 you can hear the car drove off and the shifts sound epic.

Haha. But, sometimes you get something great!

Get some renders made. If you've seen it on an SF90 and it worked, that seems like a very good sign, right?

If you're nervous about it, another safer option is to get it in black or body color and have it wrapped. Or, just go for it, and worst case you wrap it in black if you don't love it.

That's true with the shifts at the end, can you tell me then why an F80 sounds so awful even though it has the same engine?

Well, I agree with you there, and that is a mystery. Since none of us have first-hand experience with the F80 or 296S engine, and only the 296GTB/GTS setup, we can only say the V6 in the current 296 sounds better than the V8 currently offered since the 488. Maybe the 849 will change this, but I’m not too optimistic about that. The TTv8 is rather monotone, whereas the V6 gets some character to the sound, and actually gets louder at the top of the rev range, unlike the V8 that almost disappears. I will say that interior clips of the F80 sound pretty good, but I have yet to hear anything external that does.

I think you are sadly mistaken on the Aperta availability . The list for those getting one is controlled by Ferrari . They will not commence Aperta manufacture until Early 26 at best .

On the other hand you can more easily get the straight speciale . Only requirement is to own a current Ferrari model at time of spec .

It is not about how many pista’s were built , it is about how few are on the secondary market because owners have hung onto them

Probably in the minority (as most seem to hate the 849) but I plan to get both - seem like very different cars and very different design languages. I will likely spec my 849 in Nero Daytona and make many of the “objectionable” bits, including the vertical black side piece in carbon. Simple spec with Cuoio interior. Will match my black/tan 512TR. (Yes, realize one is V12 and one V8). For 296 Speciale have an Atelier appointment in October and will do a very custom spec.

The 488 engine sounds better than the engine in the 296GTB and GTS. We'll have to wait and see about the 296 Speciale. That could change. The F8 engine with standard exhaust sounds quieter than the 296 GTB engine. The 849 Testarossa will sound like an SF90 from the outside. What you heard so far isn't convincing.
