It’s official BMW makes the ugliest cars EVER

The styling is atrocious now and on top of that they’ve lost the driving feel that they were famous for. It’s like they and Ferrari are currently in a race to see who can alienate their core audience first with the worst possible designs.

 

Well, SUVs in general are atrocious. The Lambo is on top of the ugly heap.

I ordered this back in April and picked it up in late June, I'm so in love with it, to me it's a throwback to earlier BMWs, tight, nimble, fun to drive, brought me back to when I got my first 3-series in the early 90s, it's an absolute hoot to drive. I'm hoping BMW continues with their plan to do away with this platform, so I have a collectible in years to come.

I drove the entire line up of MBs and BMWs last summer looking for a replacement to my 911, and most of BMW's other platforms are f'ugly. The front end on the 2-series...yuck. Not too many options for a non Japanese 2-seater rag top with a manual gearbox. In March my Porsche dealer gave me their last allocation for a Boxster GTS, was supposed to be a late summer build. I considered it for a moment having has multiple 981 Boxsters already, but then realized with it's mid 90's frame, suspension and interior I felt all I was getting for $140k was the badge. So I passed.

BTW, I sold my newly purchased 2019 911 for this, for 2 reasons: it bored me to tears even with the 3 pedals, and the Porsche dealers are no longer qualified to put air in tires, let alone perform a service that requires some critical thinking.

First it was the Bangle butt BMWs that lost their beauty and now BMW has doubled down on the large and ugly kidney grilles which are no longer tastefully integrated. Further the boxy look is much less organic. Reminds me of some of the goofy Japanese styling. I will not be buying another BMW until it changes stylists.

 

I have owned several BMW's and liked them. But they have become big bloated and ugly. I tried to buy a replacement X-3 for my wife and the dash was just...."NO!" She bought a something else.

 

My wife has a new one series. I think it looks good and it’s a fun drive for a little car in the city. The all electric cars are gross.

 

BMW has gone downhill after Henrick Fisker. Unfortunate!

The only BMW whose style I still like is the about to be canceled current 8 series. This from a long time and multiple (8+ cars over the last 25 years) BMW owner.

 

Amazing car for the money. We have the same in dark green and manual.
