Well, if you want it to accelerate at the same rate as an Aventador, you'd be disappointed.

0 to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds, 230 km/h. I don't know how much more performance you could possibly need for the street. The 3.0 does have some nice features over the 2.0 and 2.5L version, specifically chain driven camshafts, rather than the belt of the earlier cars.

When it was tried out by Sports Car World,a million years ago,it was that great Italian run with the Countach and Espada.....I think,it was heaped with praise but couldn't remember if it was the 250 or 300.

The folk on here were pretty much comparing it to the 308 GT4.

The car from the article was a 3.0L car. That car is 20' from me as a type this. There's a fantastic story from the first owner about that drive. The car was a tourist delivery and the new owner arrived at the factory to collect it. The issue was the car that was going to be loaned for the article was flipped on the Autostrada the day before. So the factory just gave the party the customers car. The export manager attempted to talk the new owner, on his honeymoon, into an Espada, they wouldn't have it. So he drove them to train station, bought two tickets where they made their way to the U.K. to collect the Urraco. Now with 1,300kms on it. The Urraco was Stanzani's favourite Lamborghini

Fabulous series of interviews with Paolo Stanzani by Davide Cironi:
