The human mind is very bad at remembering sounds, it doesn't really matter how long I listen, nothing beats a back to back comparison.
I'll be recording videos of both to remove any chance of poor memory/bias. You all will be able to listen to each back to back and my opinion will not be needed.

I thought this video was relevant to our discussion:

This guy has been trying to replicate F1 sound for years and finally stumbled onto the info that stepped headers are a large part of what contributes to that.

Interestingly, the Larini headers I got (which finally arrived btw) are one of the few stepped headers for the 430 (supersprint is another I'm aware of)
So I'm now pretty excited to see the effect the Larini manifold has on the sound.

I'm going to put 50 miles or so on the Kline, get some video/audio of that and then install the Larini manifold in the next couple weeks hopefully.

I have feedback from a person who has Larinis 4-2-1 manifolds for the 355. They are also stepped headers. Feedback is going from stock 4-2-1 headers to Larinis.

“I'd say the Larinis are slightly 'sharper' and higher. The stock manifolds are hard to beat (partially because they are so thin) but I think these do. Definitely not a degradation in sound like many say about the Tubi manifolds.”

I also purchased Larini headers for my 355, but have yet to install them.

Finally got a sound clip of this exhaust. Still has the OEM manifold, will be installing the Larini manifold later.

I just received my Kline inconel as a scud set up for my car. Can't wait to install it. I currently have a custom Titanium x pipe which actually sounds amazing, but I needed something more reliable and with valves, I'll be doing road trips on this car so I wanted something with valves and something more reliable. I just hope it sounds as good as my X pipe did. Lets see how this goes...I let you guys know.

Is this with the valve operating as stock or do you have a valve controller?

Assuming you've installed the Larini headers now, what are your thoughts? I just got my first F430 and need to change the factory manifold.
I'm heavily leaning towards a setup of: larini headers, factory cat and kline inconel exhaust.

Sorry, haven't gotten it installed yet. Been busy and replacing ball joints and installing Penske coilovers took precedent.
Also currently in the middle of prepping my Lotus 340R for a track day.

Might be another month until I get it installed.

The ball joints.. did you get them OEM or aftermarket?

    Any recommendations if aftermarket?

Hills Engineering is the go-to for many aftermarket parts for our cars. Ricambi has a whole area of their website dedicated to Hills

The previous owner that I got my 430 from did the ball joints from Hill Engineering. Got it installed around July 21’

Is it normal that now in 2025, the joints have play and almost out of life/need replacing?

Nah; not usually. But it depends on the miles... how many?

I highly doubt they are Hill Eng. ball joints based on reputation I hear... also depends on how they have been installed, new seals or not and how much dirt got in. Many variables; just change them and be done with it. I swapped my OEM's with Hills at 22k miles, now I have 24, no issues thus far. Too early to tell.
