I purchased the car in 2015 from Southern California with 27,700 miles. During my ownership she has slept under cover in a climate controlled garage and received meticulous care. I have seen her through two major engine out services and numerous minor services and upgrades all performed by top tier Ferrari servicer Black Horse Motorwerks. The engine ran pretty good when I took ownership but has been incrementally improved with every trip to Black Horse. She fires right up every time and runs like a top. The Nouvalari sport exhaust sounds amazing - it’s tame at lower RPM and doesn’t produce excessive noise or drone but above 4000 it screams and reminds you you’re in a Ferrari!

Fun time-lapse from the 2016 major service. The assistant technician at Black Horse does photography and video production as well, so all the major work has great photographic documentation.

 

I’m reviving this listing with a more realistic and hopefully enticing asking price of $38,000 USD. Also to confirm the only reason the car hasn’t sold in the past couple years is for lack of time and effort on my part. There’s nothing wrong with the car and I’m fully motivated to sell. If anyone noticed this car in the Mecum catalog from 2023 showing unsold - I live only a few miles from the KC convention center where the auction was held so the night before I said what the hell and drove it down there to grab the last spot. It was literally the first car to go across on Thursday morning and wasn’t even on the website yet. But even with no pre-marketing and only a handful of people in the place it still got a couple bids up to $41k, and a dealer offered $43k privately. Should have taken it!

The car has only been driven a handful of short drives over the last two years, just enough to cycle fresh gasoline, get temps and pressures up and make sure she still purrs. Odometer currently reads 32,970 miles.

The only thing she has needed was a new battery because I left the maintainer off too long and it went to 0. I went with an Optima red top this time. I know there are endless debates on the subject but I always wanted to try one in this car. Seems great to me, instant startup, maybe even better than the old Interstate but it could be in my head. But c’mon it’s a Ferrari with red heads, shouldn’t it have a red top battery?!

Thanks for all the great comments and likes! I priced it to sell fast and I know the market has been good the last year, but I'm shocked by the amount of interest it's gotten in less than 24 hours. Several people already coming to look. I thought it would be slow to move if I asked mid 40s which is where it should be in my opinion, but now I'm feeling I may have shot myself in the foot!

 

Wow everyone, what an insane few days! I'm still reeling from having to let go of my baby and the Ferrari dream (for now), but I'm also happy to share the experience which should delight Mondial owners. I listed the car on FB Marketplace and in less than 48 hours it generated almost 100 inquiries, a dozen serious buyers at asking price, and several legitimate offers over asking. The pace was insane, the entire 48 hours felt like it was the closing minutes of an auction! I may have left money on the table by not letting it play out longer, but it still exceeded my expectations and I got the next best thing to absolute top dollar... I got to be picky about where the car went! Anyone who has parted with their baby knows that feeling of wanting it to go to a good long term home. Not only did she get a good home but it's less than an hour away and I was given an open invitation to come visit and drive her!

My takeaway after all the dust settled is that these cars, which have been overlooked and undervalued for so long, might finally be on their way to getting proper market recognition. Should I have listed this car for $50k? Is the Mondial market strong? I can answer yes to both.
