Hi all, I bought a 2004 360 Spider in January this year and after a few niggles were ironed out, I'm loving it! Since we're coming into winter in the UK now, I'm thinking about things I can do to it over winter. At some point, a previous owner has installed aftermarket wing shields; there is no depression in the wing for them, they are just stuck on. I wouldn't say I hate the look of them, but one of them is in a bit of a state (pic attached). Could anyone give me an idea of how to remove these safely? I'd also love opinions on potentially replacing them, or leaving them off for a cleaner and more factory look... I know it's all down to personal taste but I'm kinda torn at the moment! Thanks in advance! Image Unavailable, Please Login
This. Just go slow and you'll be fine. Doesnt need much heat if you're worried. You can probably get it off without heat even. After that, you might need a sticker remover drill tool or some goo gone for the residue
Get someone to hand paint replacements. otherwise, leave them off. My opinion anyway. I would rather run without than have these protrude instead of being recessed. Looks like they’re some type of plastic as well from the damage?
Well the factory does it on the newer cars, they paint them and then clear coat the entire wing. A very expensive option from the factory. FYI: They are larger than the regular shields. Would be a very classy thing to do if you can find someone to do it. There is a video ferrari put out on how they actually paint them using stencils.
