    hello!

I've been attempting to diagnose a faulty f1 system. It's doing my head in.
I've read all the technical documents. Played with the system over and over. Am lost.
    Replaced:
MM pump & pump head. (burnt out and head only was able to push 3 bar, max pressure)
    f1 relay.
    accumulator
Clutch solenoid. due to leakage rates exceeding 60cc/min on both.
Pressure regulator(90bar) - original wouldn't hold at all.

I have overfilled the reservoir multiple times over and bled at both bleed nipples tried with vac pump too. Not much difference really.
on clutch bleed, having the pump priming up to 80bar and holding(but can't push anything more than) bad pump?
I have a 16.3cc/min clutch CV charge. BUT
150cc/min clutch CV hold. doesn't hold when engaged? faulty solenoid? Faulty Power unit?
I've got 3x new solenoids and have swapped all of them into the EVF port. Even the original back in -> same drama.
This is where I am lost. Because.

Actuator has been removed and all 3x bleed screws have new o-rings and been bled too. ensuring no air in the system.
Door open. Engine off - Key on. System takes >5mins before pump re-engages from 40bar up to 50bar in 3-4seconds TOPS.

Engine on. Also takes easy >5mins before priming again.
Shifts about 5-6 times before pump cycles. And then every 3-4 times thereafter.

1st Gear, accelerator on. zero engagement, and engine doesn't stall!
Clutch position reading 6.8mm, TCU request 10-11mm. Moves to 10mm @ TCU request 18mm. why the gap. no idea
These should match but don't! No matter how many times I've bled the clutch line, it never improves.

Any special bleeding tactics? I've tried leaving it open for full 20 cycles and concurrently filling reservoir. Tried 2-3 pumps, close and hold.

Gearbox self learn has been done multiple times over. All other gear requests happen and work fine.

I have no leaks(cleaned. left overnight and back next day(multiple times))

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
    No fault codes with this issue. Comes with no pointers other than 150cc/min clutch hold leakage :{
Which goes back to accumulator? Or air in the system? or other faulty solenoids?

where do you get clutch solenoid?
What model year do you have

SequParts. Not knowing any better the more I read.
Can't find genuine MM ones with Eaton logo. NLA?
2004. Sofast II. Or shall it be known. SoNotGoingAnywhere

A lot closer today! Thank You to @flash32. Dominick albeit just running through the basics, got to a conclusion.
Will finish testing tomorrow but points to needing new clutch solenoid - QV14 through Eurospares.

Car in question is a Maserati 4200GT Coupe. Everything Ferrari under the chassis(without the prancing horse) and insatiable hatred between the two marques(terrible to work on, takes double the time for everything). But nevertheless. System is same same.

Original QV04 had failed. Swapped QV10 in as supplied by SequParts. When ordering believed I was getting a QV02 as that's what's pictured.
Unfortunately that is not the case and am writing about it so others don't experience the same issue.
I received 3x and emailed to ask in regards to similarity with original QV04/QV02 valves. Response was; "technically almost identical" but my favourite line "We are not a workshop and we don’t work directly on vehicles".
Anyway. Accumulator(albeit a touch shorter than original Ferrari/Maserati unit); pressure regulators(original MM) and pump motors are only parts seemingly OK from SequParts.
I found the original pump motor and pump head for same price as just the pump motor from SequParts my other supplier(they had it hidden).

QV10. Now; albeit looks identical, internal characteristics vary enough that the control rating for it is different than original QV04-QV02 valve.
Reading across poles for PWM voltage output. Gave 1.2-1.8V output @ 0.6A-0.9A current draw. This pulled the clutch from 20.3mm to 6.8mm each and every time and wouldn't allow it to vary between the two values to engage-disengage. Just solid 6.8mm hard pull.
A QV04 or QV02 valve has voltage output between 2.8V-3.7V @ 0.8-1.5A current draw. But allowed the clutch to follow TCU command.

But I couldn't bleed or perform a gearbox calibration. Wouldn't trigger. So tomorrow's mission is to figure out what and why. I'll be back

I came here from the “Flash32 contributions” thread. Subscribed to see the outcome. It seems that you are close, and I have high confidence that Dominick will get you over the finish line and back on the road!
The clutch solenoid that Dominick recommended to me did the trick for my over-active pump cycles.

Just a quick update - Jtop changed EVF solenoid as suggested with another "good" EVF form another car while waiting for new part to arrive .. all worked
    Case closed
