thats a big issue…. and it’s not correct to compare a cheaply order spec with an outrageous spec

If you can keep it, I honestly think it's the best driving mid engine Ferrari, maybe ever.

The amount of options and the pricing on these options expanded and the 296 came out at a time when many more people thought they could or should play the game. It's a bunch of things that compound on each other. None of which changes how the car drives.

I'm going to be the contrarian here, and I'm sure will get booed by many, so no need to flog me publicly... I've been at this for a few decades, and perhaps Ferrari is the one exception (I'm still shopping for my GTB/GTS); however, I have repeatedly seen how the market doesn't care about the special options such as a $30,000 CF exterior option, and so on. The speciality options appeal to the original owner who made it his own (as I have done with every sports/super/luxury vehicle I've owned). The used market, with obviously an occasional exception, "like" the blue stitching, the exterior CF package, and so on, but they don't seem willing to pay for it; it's why I've seen a few GTB's with $480+ stickers and an ask for the same $330 as cars with MSRP's of $380. Maybe other F models don't behave like this, but there sure are a lot of other supercar brands that do. And I'm not trying to start an argument with anyone.

Here is the thing with the 296, except for the AF pack nothing else changes the performance of the car. Every other box that is checked, except maybe the sports seats, are all about personal taste and very subjective. The cars are the same performance wise. A big spec vs a low spec is basically the same.
