I have seen and worked on many many Ferraris. It is very rare to know who worked on the car previously. When I find a car with terrible service, silicone everywhere, everything leaking, cam timing way off, balance and tune way off, I usually have no idea who worked on it.

I have just finished a major service and case reseal. It was on my schedule and after getting started I told the service writer that the oil leak was from the engine to trans sealing. It was not leaking from cam seals or cam covers. I did reseal the engine case to transmission and it was clear it had never been resealed.

Here is the good part. The cam seals, cam cover gaskets, and end cap/distributor seals were all nicely done and leak free. Clean up was easy as just the corners had a small amount of 1211 as it should be. Cam timing check found it was spot on. What an easy job to follow this guy. I knew I hadn't worked on it but in a conversation about the car I found that it had been maintained previously by Brian (Rifledriver).

Brian is a wealth of knowledge on this forum and I can say from this experience, he is correct. I have never worked on an old Ferrari that I had zero complaints about what I found, until now.
Well done in maintaining this car.
