    It is a sad, sad world indeed when people who do not have love in their life, or God, or have shortcomings in their intellect, height, prowess, worth, follicle count, esteem, medications, etc. or any other issues - have the need to project them onto others while under the lamentable, false guise that anyone actually cares about their opinion... Or, that their opinion has any merit? I have made 100's of posts in this thread over the years and have documented other builds in other forums, but there is always a handful of people who have a false sense of entitlement where inevitably, their true core comes out.

    And, whereas the interweb freely allows individuals to become keyboard warriors, the reality of their miserable life indeed consists of attempting to mask their ignorance and multiple, unhappy insecurities. For those reading this and have some decency and/or common sense - unlike the a*s clowns above - can you imagine a complete stranger approaching you/your family out in the street and downright insulting you/them, while thinking its amusing? It is a sad, sad world indeed and no surprise to me that there is an ever present, overwhelming stereotype of many Ferrari owners having shortcomings in their intellect, height, prowess, worth, follicle count, esteem, medications, etc. How sad is it when you see it being truthful? God Bless you all and always remember - He loves you even if it seems no one else does (and your dogs don't count)!

    It is such a childish, immature act of cowardice to try criticizing someone else's anything... consisting of negative jabs, absurd statements... makes someone seeing this feel sorry for these folks. It takes the same amount of effort to uplift, support, and encourage someone as it does to crap on them. How people act/react to negativity and challenges in their life, is a true testament to their character and for the many years that these posts will be readily accessible - your comments speak volumes as to how you choose to communicate publicly. Oof...

    I merely stated my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions :) Don't get so dramatic - you can do whatever you like, it is your car.

    We all know the story of this car, and as long as it was fitted with a less troublesome engine, why not also fit rims that make your daily journey a bit more easy.

    Original it's not, but not sacrilegious by my standards: it's really well taken care of, and many restoration work around were experimented. Definitively a valuable source of inspiration.

    As a side note, we are all quite dedicated and passionate when it comes to our cars, so we'd better avoid saying bad things about other's cars.

    I know somebody. ;)

    <smh>

    Which rims? The inner barrel?

    You don't really see this part of the rim, except by looking through spaces in the wheel center.

    The outer barrel?

    Pretty close to what he already has, and I'm not sure that the bolt pattern to his centers is the same.

    Since we callin' 'em rims, maybe go ghetto-bubba, and kick that offset waaayyyy out there, hoopty style, past the fenders.

    The above are only half-measures, assuming that the centers will even bolt up, so let's change the whole rim assembly, by swapping both inner and outer barrels, as if this will make a bit of difference to the disputed look (unless the outer rim barrel is a different finish/color, or is noticeably damaged - which is the beauty of being able to replace a rim rather than the whole wheel).

    Then, even IF his centers will even bolt-up, those centers (which one can assume is the real issue here) are still the same, and not a word about those yet - just the rims.

    Maybe we just call the whole assembly "tires" (or better yet, "treads" or "s'walls" - for sidewalls, obviously), or "bolts", or maybe "valves".

    Let's leave the ghetto-speak to the hoopty/Fast&Furry-us crowd, especially if you're going to be pretentious enough proclaim offense about wheels that look good on the car, and appropriate for its American hot-rod tradition rescue from the scrapyard.
