Based on Monza and the aero thats predictable overall. He just needs to gain up through the city sector and he should clear for a given time. How long others take to clear slower runners will be interesting. The gains for others are in sector 2.
The start and passing and tactics will be interesting. The only really good tire is the medium overall.
It's not all the team or car. The drivers at Ferrari since the Alonso era, have been underwhelming in their performances. Kimi's second go around was a joke. He was nothing like his first stint at Ferrari. Vettel was damaged goods after being shown up at Red Bull by Riccardo, and the team didn't realize how reliant he was on the car to be perfect to overcome his mistakes. Leclerc is a mess emotionally. Fast, with moment of brilliance like Montoya, but he drives the car too hard, and still can't control his emotions. Sainz was solid, but no championship material. And Hamilton? Jesus. The guy is totally lost in this new era of car. He simply can't drive any of these cars like he could the previous generation, and his skills are declining worse by the week. Look what Max is doing with a Red Bull that is nothing compared to the McLaren. He's making things happen. Dramatic things. He's in control of his emotions, and just figures out what he needs to do different. If he was at Ferrari, I have no doubt that he would've won a race or two this year for them.
I am not sure the Monza low downforce set up is the best solution in Baku with its numerous 90° corners.
Yep, being Verstappen team mate in a new car with an unknown home-made powertrain. Good luck with that !!
The guy won Monza after Mekies listened to him and shaved off more rear wing. Then, he gets his GT3 license in a Cayman GT4(300hp) at the Nordschleife the following weekend. Possibly racing in a GT3 Ferrari at the Nordschleife sometime soon. Then he gets pole at Baku in a chaotic 4 Red Flag and how many yellows qualifying session. Possibly winning the race for tomorrow as he "skates" off into the distance. This family man of 27yo is a 4x WDC title holder and eats, breathes and **it's racing...no matter what track it is and no matter what kind of car it is. Everyone else in the track needs to get a clue of this man's performance.
RedBull based a majority of the rear aero on that wing from Monza in a majority of reports. Clearly the 90 slow to mid speed Max can handle with respect to the car.
Good job the McLaren drivers are well ahead of the championship, because Qualifs didn't do them any favour. Ferrari ? Very "underwhelming" at Baku so far, to paraphrase Toto Wolf.
everyone tumble and fumble but max once again on top of it the weekend where oscar looks terrible yet lando only managed 7th lol
