Door strut replacement?

    Had a Countach for 20 years, never needed to replace a door strut. Until now. Ok, the bottom end of the strut is easy. Two 13mm wrenches will do it.

    Door card off to get to the upper bolt? How does the window crank come off? Any trick to it?

    Those doors are heavy when they fall on your leg…

    You will need to push the little winder retainers a little to free the winder off the spline you need a trim removal tool. The clip should be a wire clip similar to the attached image Image Unavailable, Please Login

    Sorry, what part is the winder retainer? I have trim removal tools.

    Thanks to all who responded; the handle came off, door card removed, strut installed. Not easy, but doable. Will reinstall the door card once the leather is cleaned.
