Jenvey just announced a new triple throttle body targeted towards the Porsche 964. At first glance though, they look like they could be a great option for someone wanting to EFI a boxer while keeping the carb look. The cylinder spacing is even 94mm.

They're essentially a replica of the Weber. For my car, I went with more of a BBLM / Lucas look; which I don't regret at all, but had this existed at the time, I might have gone this route.

The manifold stud spacing seems very close, but I'm not sure it's an exact match for the BB manifolds. The manifolds I designed are for the BBi, which uses 40mm x 68mm. The Jenvey dimensions are 38mm x 65.8mm. I don't know if the BB and BBi stud placement is different. So you'd likely need custom manifolds to use these on a BBi, but maybe the BB as well.

With this and some careful ignition planning, you could have a modern EFI Boxer that would appear period correct.

The BB and Porsche carbs fit each other. That would be a nice upgrade on a driver for sure!

Yes, you'd need four. Jenvey sells them as a pair, for $5000:

So it seems if you already have a BB, then you can reuse the manifolds and throttle linkages. If converting a BBi, you'd need manifolds and probably some throttle linkage work (not sure if the BBi throttle lever / linkages could be repurposed).

If coming from a BB, you'd need to figure out fuel since carb pressures are very different than EFI. If coming from a BBi, you can repurpose a good chunk of the CIS system (I'm using the stock pumps, accumulators, filters, and some plumbing).

In both cases, you need to figure out ignition, and management. I think you could put the ECU where the Dinoplex is (maybe inside it?). I didn't do that, but I think it's worth doing for cleanliness (especially if you want to keep a somewhat period correct look).

For my car, I went with coil-on-plug (pencil coils), but you could do remote coils and keep the stock spark plug wires (again, for that period correct look).

It definitely wouldn't be cheap, but it'd be really cool.
